If he puts his injury problems behind him I'm confident he'll end up a Premier league player. The trouble is we can't afford to take the gamble so I expect he'll be sold for less than that 5m.

Apart from this one, I've largely avoided political threads. I only got involved because I have direct experience of how the FSU and its many fronts operate. I should have know better and I feel bad for Clive. But you're right, it's easy to get drawn in, there are some master baiters on here.

Now that you mention it, it does feel like it. I wonder if there's any correlation between that and our disciplinary record? (taking Colback out of the equation)

Look. I can't do your thinking for you. If you choose to believe alternative facts, that's up to you.

That I happen to be wary of accepting that a group that operates by spreading falsehoods and fake news might not be giving us the full picture doesn't mean I have no idea.

Should preachers of hate be banned from football grounds? I'm not sure I can get worked up enough about their "protected beliefs" or rights to watch football to die on that particular hill.

It's not strange at all. She didn't resign because accounts were closed for customers because of their views, they weren't. Yet, the stink raised has led to some people believing the opposite.

It's a pretty good example of how these culture warriors operate to muddy the waters and dupe the gullible.

I'm not sure. I'll wait and see what the truth of it is. Like the Farage bank ban, which ended up with their being no evidence of any customers having their accounts closed because of their views. Oddly, it was the same folk frothing at that; cbeebies, torygraph, Daily hate, free peachers.

There are people in prison for hate speech, mostly radical muslims tbf, so she could have gotten off lightly.

I'm on about the FSU, not you personally. I wouldn't take anything they publish as being anything near the truth, ever.

It isn't "whataboutery", it's contextualisation.

It isn't "about" a fan being banned either. It's a post from a right wing propagandist group trying to radicalise.

Their more known for fake speech than free speech, so forgive me for dismissing this as just another exercise.

I'm not going to start a seperate thread on it, I'd rather avoid publicising a far right pressure group on this site, thanks.

It wasn't one case and if you can't distinguish between the seriousness of a government monitoring and censoring its citizens and a private company you need to give your head a wobble.

I'll ask again, why are the free peachers silent on fundamental issues of free speech yet vocal about the right to rightwing speech?

Most commonly used; when making a list, getting rid of multiple instances of and, tidying up a cluttered paragraph, getting your word count down.

Funny that none of the free peachers were up in arms about the D.O.E monitoring School staff for airing opinions critical of government policy.

It's no surprise they'd champion a eugenicist either, as Young believes we should improve the IQ of the working class with selective breeding.

It's culture war clickbait for the easily triggered.

I know a couple of the people who, along with Toby Young, set up this and a couple of other "Libertarian" groups.

It's the opposite of "free speech". They want the views of only academics employed at Universities to be allowed to say and teach what they like. That could be anything from the Nazis were right to blacks are inferior. Based, not on academic rigour, but simply on their status.

They work to shut down views they oppose, infiltrating Trade Unions, Community groups, local organisations etc and redirecting funding.

They are virulently pro Israel, you'll never see them defend a Pro Palestinian. academic.

Some of the most unpleasant individuals I've ever encountered.

That's not strictly true. It's certainly not true for your chances of it being diagnosed and successfully treated.
