"Their goal had nothing to criticise Bennie over with." Midfielders need to track their runners. From the highlights it looks like Bennie switched off for a split second and left his man spare to run round to the back post and score. I'm all for being patient and supportive with a young player but he could have done better with their goal. Surely it's okay to say that. He wouldn't want to be patronised. Part of the learning process is looking at your mistakes and trying to do better next time. |

Not a single person was calling for us to sign Burrell either. Just saying... |

Just watched the highlights. From Bennie to Vale to Madsen to Kone it was four touches. Lovely stuff. |

A no to three game weeks means he misses maybe 6 or 7 games a season. He's been played pretty much every other game. I like him and would be pleased if we signed him permanently. We need the right balance of youth and experience. |

I think you're wrong but my opinion is no more important than yours. I think we'd be a much worse side without him in it. If he's fit (which he has been all season) he plays. The manager knows he's our key man, the players know he's our key man otherwise they wouldn't look to get him the ball whenever possible and the majority of fans knows it. Hopefully he'll win you over before the end of the season. |

I thought he was a very mixed bag yesterday. He does seem to find himself in some decent positions and work rate is good. He's not particularly quick or skillful though so not sure winger is his position. I was a bit frustrated with him yesterday but need to remind myself he's only 19. There's potential there. If we didn't have so many injuries a league 1 or 2 loan until the end of the season would have really helped. |

JS mentioned that post match. He clearly loves Madsen. |

He's one of those players who have the ability to slow everything down around them and find some quality amongst the chaos. He constantly shows for the ball and always seems to find a teammate with a pass. His teammates now look to him for inspiration. It's an incredible turn around from last season and I absolutely love it. |

A beautiful response to last week's disaster. Loftus Road was rocking. A week ago we walked away in stunned silence. Today it was magic walking down Loftus road afterwards with everyone in full voice. Days like today really fill the cup! |

I love Madsen. Best player we've had since Eze. Will be a sad day when he's sold for £10million. |

This is a definite possibility. Midtable squad with midtable players. We'll win some and we'll lose some. Enough not to go down but not enough to go up. |

Maybe the players are mentally weak or maybe we just have a lot of young players without the experience to always make the right decisions. I think Clive said it in his preview that managers don't really like young players. They'd generally prefer a 30 year old with 200+ games under their belt as they make fewer mistakes. By my reckoning, we had Kolli, Bennie, Morgan, Mbengue, Dembele, Vale, Kone all under 24 years old and with probably less than 200 games between them (certainly at championship level). Wrexham have been able to sign older pros on big wages who have little to no sell on potential but are capable of bullying their way to a win against a less experienced side. Kone looked a bit more comfortable playing further forward. He's as slow as rust but he's at least strong. Not really sure what our other options are at the moment. Has Kolli got the physicality to play up there on his own? I'm not sure. For the time being I think playing 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1 is the right thing to do. Unless this new signing is as rapid as Burrell and can form a partnership up top with Kone. We seem to sign new players and not play them though so not sure if we'll see much of him. |

Also just back. Gutted obviously but here's my thoughts FWIW - Madsen best player on the pitch again. He's crucial to this team. Went down with a knock at one point and everyone in the ground held their breath until he got himself to his feet. He deserves a song much better than the terrible one he currently has. I think there'll be some interest in him in the summer. - First 30 minutes were excellent. I'm a big fan of Morgan. He looks to play forward and get the ball into dangerous areas. Doesn't always work but I like his attitude. - Vale was tidy in the first half. Great goal. Looked tired in the second. Understandable given the lack of games he's had. - Cook and Dunne are a great CB pair. Both played well today. Hopefully they can stay injury free. RND had another solid game. - we reacted really badly to the sending off and gave them all the time and space they needed. However, the red card was foolish so Mbengue needs to take responsibility for seriously letting his team mates down. He seems a good egg so I'm sure he would have held his hands up and apologised to the team. - a few said we should have bought on Edwards after the sending off. Not possible as we'd already had our three substitution windows. With hindsight you can say he should have taken off Mbengue as he was on a yellow but a manager had to be able to trust his players not to get themselves sent off. Again Mbengue has to carry the responsibility on that one. - having watched the goals back, I think it's unfair to lay the blame on Walsh. They're all very well struck. On another day maybe he saves one of them but I don't think any of them are a big keeper error. I also like the way he looks to distribute the ball quicker than our other keepers. - it's a shame our next game is against Coventry as we could really have done with an easier opponent to try and bounce back. Not sure what we do at the back. Would be a shame to stop the Cook Dunne partnership so maybe Edwards out tonight back. If he plays well there maybe he takes Mbengue's spot long term. Wrexham had the stronger bench today and maybe that was just enough to get them three points that they didn't deserve. A point a piece would have been just about right. [Post edited 24 Jan 18:17]

We've obviously had worse results than that but tell me a game where both teams have been so unable to do any of the basics. Total shambles of a football match. Thank god we only play them twice a year. We are desperately short of quality at the moment. I hope this new kid can play a bit |

How on earth is that not a foul on Madsen and how on earth did Oxford miss from two yards out. Ref all over the place. Shambles [Post edited 20 Jan 21:17]

I read that he's 6 foot 6. Could be a handy option assuming he can win a few headers. Only 21. Assuming we won't be paying much. Let's see how it goes. |

The double airport security checks was totally unnecessary. They've never really been on my radar before but I wish them nothing but the worst after trudging along at a snails pace trying to get home. Most cost them an absolute fortune to steward that dump. Unless they've managed to get the tax payer to pay for that too. |
