I think they're putting their faith in him, and feel he may be worth twice that after a (fingers crossed) good personal season within a (fingers and toes crossed) good season for the team.
I also don't think they'd turn down any real sort of money if it were offered. St Etienne have consistently been asking for loan and then an option to buy (probably then full to the brim of clauses and bonuses), as opposed to a block sum of money. We'd be insane to turn down a whole 5mil in one go.... |

I'm optimistic, I like what we've done so far, and despite rambling on about injuries the other day, both Kone and Madsen seem not to be as bad as previously thought (touch wood). I think the Millwall game will somewhat temper that, but there's no reason not to go to Portsmouth on opening day without a healthy dose of optimism. A fast start (admittedly a generous opening few games) and who knows? |

I think this is it. Big day of squad release, there's never going to be 100% agreement, and so media outlets and online personalities are going to ragebait and instrumentalise outrage in order to gain attention. Its typical on X.
For what its worth, I like the squad. My only concern is how shallow we are at LB. Oh, and Spence shouldn't be anywhere near that team... |

How can anyone honestly think that playing the exact same 11 as three days ago is a good idea? Saito looks shattered, there is no midfield, Field as just done something in his groin. They're out on their feet after 25mins. It's infuriating because it's so avoidable. You're telling me that not a single one on that bench could come in for tired legs? RND can't come in and play fullback? Smyth can't come in and run at them?
What a waste of a game. |

I just got back from the game, train strikes meant that what should've been a 40 min journey became a 3 hour trek each way through Milton Keynes. This was my first game back after spending the majority of this year abroad, I can't explain how excited I was. I'd watched every game possible while outside the UK and came back absolutely desperate to see QPR live again.
The game was so demoralising and crap that towards the end I just felt indifferent, I wasn't angry or upset, it just felt expected almost. This feels like a soulless QPR. Nourry has turned our club into a corporate shell, fixtures don't matter, points don't matter, cups clearly don't matter, it's like everything a football club should be has been pushed aside to focus on 'profits' and that's all. Its all in the term 'project', implying that QPR is someone else's plaything, someone's work-in-progress or money-making business, but QPR is so much more than that to US. Our club is our reason to look forward to weekends, our communities, our families, and our lives. It's insulting what we've been turned into.
Something has to change. Someone is going to have to walk we through this absolute mess of a fitness regime we have -- we're losing a key player a week at this rate, precious few players can complete more than 60mins and Dunne's having to play close to 70mins while clearly unfit.
I'm very interested to see what happens at this open training, if they don't cancel it. |

I know this isn't anything new, but I'm really starting to get p*ssed off with the injuries racking up. Poku off injured (if he's out for a while then shoot me), Mbengue struggling, Dembele off with cramp, all the rest of the injured players. Every week is a new injury, what on earth is this Williams guy even for? |

Celar has not been nearly as bad as some of you are suggesting. Some good bits of hold up play, the goal literally comes from this. |
