The reason he’s not in the photos is because he finished his internship in March and has since gone on to work for Aston Villa whilst completing his studies at University.
No idea if he was freelancing under our instruction, doing something off his own back or thought he would do an old colleague a favour, but he has not been an employee or intern since March. |

Just have to ride it out for a few more days!!!!
IF (and it is an IF) we go through, then they will have to sort out logistics for the play off final and there will only be just over a week to do that. Once those arrangements have been made, we won’t be kicked out.
Why?
Well if they start selling us tickets, they can’t then backtrack on us being in the final.
And once the final is played, then the result will have to stand.
Millwall/Hull beat us, then they won’t be letting Middlesbrough have a play off against the winner.
We win, then who goes up instead of us, Boro who we would have beaten or Millwall/Hull who we would have beaten in the final?? |

It’s certainly not for my daughter. Non verbal until 6, but she would
happily stim, flap her arms, him to herself and have a wonderful
time wearing out the carpet.
With amazing support from my wife (and her primary school(Teachers) she’s now doing well at secondary school, BUT every day is a challenge.
She masks it well at times, but then will explode.
Food, cuddles and change are tough |

Don’t think he said a word at the start or between songs and left after a few songs, sound wasn’t great, persona even worse. Not sure if he couldn’t be arsed or that’s his normal

Wednesday away must have been about 8,000. For some reason we had about 2/3rds of the upper tier, with home fans on the last part (closest to the triangle terrace on the corner) which was a recipe for trouble.
As you say coaches went on for a fair bit up that hill away from the ground.
Know the lad who threw the smoke bomb (well ahead of his time given today’s pyrotechnics), met him recently at a wake in Shirley. He got put away in Guys Marsh for a short spell for throwing it!!!
We bumped in to the Wednesday lot outside the Wagon after they had been “asked to leave” the Lord Louis, they weren’t happy!!

That was all rather shtit!
Poor set up from the off, wrong team selection and oh so slow.
Credit to Millwall in that they once again sussed us out, but we offered nothing. |

Coventry are a very decent team, deserving of their position in the League.
First half fairly even, Scienza should have scored his one on one and they should have had one before they scored (WTAF was Ryan Manning doing, first he lost track of the ball and it landed on his back then he spannered it inside to one of theirs!!). Coventry kept and recycled the ball well and have a few really good players at this level.
Second half turned on its head by a really awful challenge, lucky Wellington didn’t have his leg snapped (considering which, I thought the boos against him were OTT). Coventry then understandably had to change their game plan and formation, and looked like they settled for a draw.
Wrong sub in bringing Archer on (who offers absolutely nothing) which meant Azaz, who has been in decent run of goal scoring form, had to drop deeper.
Lampard wasn’t get that much stick, but also didn’t mind his first “up yours”, but then he lost it and went well over the top, continuing way too long and made himself the centre of attention, when we should have been talking about an entertaining game of football.
THB firstly took him to task for being a dick and then it simmered down, but Lampard then came back again for seconds with THB ignoring him (the ref should have been stronger at this point).
After that it was handbags from all.
The “sh*t Steven Gerrard” chant was harmless considering Lampard is a far better player (with honours that outstrip Gerard’s), but he was a dick yesterday and understand he’s put his hands up. [Post edited 21 Dec 2025 9:52]

His appointment always reminded me of the out of the box thinking that Lowe came up with when he appointed the Dutch Duo (with a dash of Wigley for the inexperience).
Just trying to be too clever, when we needed someone to get the squad by the scruff f the neck and dig in.

Today was just history repeating itself with my criticism of Still.
Really poor starting line up and set up. 5 at the back is great if you have got attacking wing backs (effectively playing 3 at the back), but we haven’t. Just means we set up too defensively and overwhelmed in the middle of the park and up front.
Half time substitutions showed how we should have been set up from the start and coincided with our best passage of play.
After that, the substitutions were just desperation stuff. |

Spot on. Awful substitution(s) inviting them on and we can’t handle that.
I’ve struggled with his picks, formations & subs.
He just seems out of his depth.

Substitutions changed the game.
Ours were awful, rather than shoring up the midfield we brought on two lightweight attacking players and surrendered the midfield.
Whereas their subs brought energy and pace.
Better team selection and a bit of passion, but Still cocked up with our changes. |

Because once we know who he is, we know who we need to bin off!!!!
The setting up for defensive free kicks yesterday was abysmal. Lost count of the number of times Everton lined up with two big lads on the far side of their attacking line and we often only had Flyn Downes up against them.
I spotted it early on in the game and yet we let it continue, and if you look at the Beto crossbar header then you will see what I mean (two centre halves on the far side and Flyn Downes isolated).
We’ve lost points defending (or not defending) set pieces and it will continue throughout the season unless someone gets a grip.

Yesterday against a Championship+ side highlighted a few things for me.
Firstly, quite a few haven’t been able to make the step up!
Those who are ok;
Ramsdale
Sugawara
THB
Bednarek
Downes
Dibling
KWP
Those who might:
Lallana (showed in patches he still has the brain, but was sometimes physically struggling. A better team would have exploited it more)
Taylor (you can get away with an average full back, but I have doubts)
Fernandes (played well and tackled back but early days)
Ugochokwu (maybe more in hope, but we need an enforcer)
Archer (only because he got them on the back foot a few times, but he doesn’t look clinical enough)
And then sadly you’ve got:
Fraser (a division too far)
Smallbone (see above)
Aribo (see above)
Armstrong (see above)
Stewart (reminded me of feeding the giraffes at Marwell and contributed nothing)
Diaz (didn’t do anything - has lovely hair though)
Cornet (yuk)
And then there’s some of the tactics and substitutions. They’re on RM and he was found wanting. Invited pressure on. I’ve mentioned defending corners elsewhere and as others have said we are sloppy.
We looked ok in parts against another championship team, but Premier teams will bury us if we don’t learn quickly.
Is there enough in the squad to get 17th?? I doubt it but it’s not an impossibility [Post edited 22 Sep 2024 12:52]

This post has got some legs, as in the first half they took a short corner to Hutchinson (easily Ipswich’s best player) and only Fraser was there to compete against two of theirs. As a result Hutchinson had all the time in the world to deliver.
About ten minutes later, they had another corner set up the same and once again we only had Fraser against two attackers. Same result and Hutchinson put us under pressure.
We could see it a mile off, but the coaching staff (and the players failed to recognise the threat!). |

The massive gaps in the middle was down to playing 5 at the back, meaning we sacrificed a midfielder.
Downes tried his best, whilst Smalbone was out of his depth. The forwards couldn’t help as they were being told to hug the touchlines.
It was obvious to everyone around us, but RM persevered!!!! |
