He's definitely been less effective recently, though you could argue that if he'd scored all of the shots he's narrowly missed in those matches, we'd be having another discussion. He's only 29, so one would think he's still got plenty left in his legs and with a full pre-season will be a valuable player next season. |

Absolutely. JCS's performances have changed so many of our minds this season but we can't hold onto players like him if we want to evolve. Sell big and sign a promising replacement must be the model.
Elsewhere, we need a new goalkeeper, a couple of strikers, a Hayden type in midfield (he's too expensive to keep), a playmaker in the centre and a winger with pace to replace BOS (Smyth is a decent sub). If Eze goes to City, that helps. |

I think if everyone pulled out but the top 32, there'd be such an outcry that the FA/Premier League would have to steer back. Come on, it would be hilarious if the cup only had five rounds and was basically the Zenith Data Systems Cup. |

Great to see the opprobrium to this and lower league clubs putting out statements criticising it. What they need to do now is organise, withdraw from the competition en masse and leave it to the big boys. [Post edited 19 Apr 8:57]

Must-win match against a team with nothing to play for, who have played a few days before. Simply no excuses. I'll go with far less optimism than I did for the Wednesday game but if we can't win this, we deserve to go down. |

Yes, that surprised me. He's already made twice the number of appearances for us than he did for them. Could understand people like Terry or Lampard being so closely associated with them but someone who sat on the bench most of the time before they bombed him out? Seems a bit sad. |

We could do with Leicester beating WBA on Saturday as they'd still not be guaranteed a play-off place when they play Wednesday the following week. Can see Huddersfield beating Swansea and losing to Ipswich, which means that Birmingham match becomes crucial. |

Completely agree. Regardless of any other results and permutations, we must win on Saturday. They will probably have nothing to play for but finishing a place or two higher, while we are fighting for our lives. They will have played (away) midweek; we won't.

What is he adding today? Saved nothing. Incredibly slow off his line for the second - a keeper who uses his feet is out to clear that. Down in instalments for the third. Can't kick it very well. Really don’t see an issue with playing Walsh tbh. |
