| Forum Reply | We Just Dont Get Enough From Our Strikers at 12:58 14 Apr 2024
Who plays up front is causing so much argument and discussion because none of them are anywhere near good enough. Loads of terrible stats flying around on Dykes but Armstrong has scored 3 league goals in around 60 appearances and Frey looks so slow and immobile it’s almost a joke having him on the pitch. Chance to add to options before the season which wasn’t taken and again last transfer window, this failure may well relegate us. |

Budget and player for player we shouldn’t be anywhere near Hull (Carvalho vs Dykes). Damage was done last Saturday vs Sheff W and by not holding on vs Plymouth. |

The decision to sell always depends on for how much, any player should be sold if the price is right. With Chair I’d take anything over 7M. If I discuss QPR with any other Championship fan Chair is almost always mentioned and is really highly rated, definitely a talent not sure he is always the best decision maker. Last time we did this vs Blackpool) we won (stolen from Twitter!) |

Good post and totally agree, worst forward line in the Championship and by some distance. Martin will have produced a minor miracle if he keeps us up with Dykes, Armstrong and Frey (and Kelman) who have scored the grand total of 8 league goals between them. |
| Forum Reply | Armstrong New Contract ? at 17:05 7 Apr 2024
It’s a strange debate as to whether Armstrong should get a new contract as surely it is purely down to the value. I’ve made it clear I am not fan and would question giving SA a new deal but if it is cheap enough we should take a chance that he will develop, if he pushes for too much then clearly not. Isn’t that debate over? |

Considering how few we have scored at the Loft End in the last few years, I’d suggest it was a good thing. |

I can’t see how Willock will make much of an effort now and risk injury when he is about to pick up a large signing on fee at his new club. [Post edited 6 Apr 19:58]

Fantastic athlete but never a footballer at this level. The best we can hope for is a loan to league 1 and see if he improves but goal scoring record of something like 3 leagues goals in 55 appearances speaks for itself. The talk of Premier League clubs being interested is laughable. |

Well said. Very worrying that someone within the club decided to make the decision to bring him in, completely out of his depth. |

Excellent post-match interview by Cook today, must be on the shortlist for Player of the Year, Cook or JCS IMO. |

Forwards have been a massive problem since the start of the season to go in with Armstrong, Dykes and Kelman was criminal, Frey not added a great more. Considering this Marti has worked a minor miracle to pull us out of the mire, no complaints from me. |
| Forum Reply | VAR. No thanks. at 14:11 31 Mar 2024
There has to be some way of improving VAR, can’t dismiss technology like this that removes some of the really dreadful decisions made over the years. Frustrating when hairline offsides or alike are given and then complained about if it is offside it is offside no matter how tight it is. Really need a rethink of how it is deployed and how it can be sped up. At this stage very glad not to have it in the Championship. |

We Dozzell even be allowed to be the league? Could come under scrutiny if a player loaned to a side in a relegation battle had a very poor game or even scored an own goal. |

This is true although we are talking levels here, fans of a team trying to claim a penalty from the stands is a long way from players rolling around the pitch trying to get a fellow professional sent off. There has always been an element of player cheating just feel it has gone too far and almost seems it is taught to be part of the game, would much prefer more honesty. |
| Forum Reply | Patrick Bamford at 12:01 23 Mar 2024
Can’t disagree but rare to find a player that won’t cheat these days given half a chance, they claim for absolutely everything and fake injury consistently. |
| Forum Reply | Patrick Bamford at 11:59 23 Mar 2024
Does anyone know if our pitch is actually small? I am sure I heard that it was a myth as the stands made it appear that way but it isn’t particularly small. |

Can we insist he does play? |

Been going since 1986 and have never missed a QPR goal from being late or leaving early. Only ever missed one Zamora vs Everton because I was helping a friend who had been thrown out get back in (long story!) |
