We sold two players, Charles and THB at about 25 Million each, a total of 50 Million, yet we were after an experienced Norwegian centre back and offered 9 million Euros 10 Million Pounds but failed to offer more, WHY?
Although Viking Stavanger were reluctant to sell with Champions League games likely to come, why did we not offer say 12 Million Pounds to clinch the deal?
Also knowing sone time ago that THB was likely to leave, why did we not react earlier to seek a replacement? |

THB is under a contract so hopefully the Board will remain strong and only sell for £40 million plus add on of £4 million.
The longer it goes on it will be more difficult to get a replacement.
Leave him out for the next two games and the Window will be closed, then put him in the team in place of JS and make him Captain. |

Tonda is a Foreign Coach where checking out the opposition in the way he did is common, but not in the Championship, not sure why?
He is meticulous in attention to detail and has achieved more for Saints than many other Managers in recent years, nearly in in the Cup Final and one win away from the Premiership.
In his position I would call a Press Conference and say I got it wrong , it was my mistake.. I am Sorry.

According to last weeks "Sunday Times" Spying is part and Parcel of the game in Germany.
In life we all make mistakes, perhaps a Parking offence or speeding, the important is to learn from them, yes I was gutted at what has happened.
However Tonda has been good at his job and very nearly took the Club to Wembley twice in one Season..
I just hope he stays and everyone, the Management, Players and real Fans get behind him.
Next Season with Tonda still here will be very rewarding, this time next year.. |

We are Guilty and have brought this on ourselves. We were cheating and got caught out.
But the beautiful game is not what it was. cheating is happening all the time.
Hair pulling, shirt tugging and blatant fouling. now called taking one for the team. diving in the Penalty area, just a shame it's now all about Money. lots of it and Greed!
There are no Winner and the losers are us, the supporters and the whole matter has bought shame on the City of Southampton.
It takes a long time to earn a good reputation but only a short time to destroy it.
I just feel GUTTED. |

Last Saturday 21st Feb. I was 90, regrettably the game is not what it was in the 1940's.
Oh for the days of Charlie Wayman, George Curtis, Eric Webber, Bill Ellerington and Eric Day. At corner kicks there was no holding , Grabbing arms , and players "taking one for the Team" CHEATING!
Over the years I have gone to the Doctor many times but he just says "Once you have Red and White Stripes in your body you have to take the good with the bad"! |
