A way to win - report
at 22:29:08

Fantastic report emotional reading through it! We'll done Clive

Reading through the bad times and understanding how much it means to other supporters like it does for me and my family is very moving. That's years of shit, frustration, stick, hate for QPR, being so close, Cardiff 2003, wembley 1986 all the joy and relief in one wonderful goal in the last minute Saturday at wembley takes all of those times away. Even 2011 was spoilt at watford.

Quite simply I'm very proud to be QPR and everything about our great club was displayed on Saturday. The greatest day supporting rangers in my lifetime absolutely fantastic. 40,000 there and friends and families cheering on far and wide.

No need to comment on the match all covered above. Can't help but keep watching the goal over and over still incredible and amazing love it.

Very proud to be QPR

Late Doncaster goal floors lame QPR - report
at 11:05:20

A few things that frustrated me ...

1) o'neill and jenas don't actually do anything they seem to slowly move up and down the pitch without doing much. It's 2 positions in the team where we seem to carrying both players.

2) kranjcar left side... WHY??? Play him in the middle and drop one of the 2 above. We have swp or hoilett on the bench. Niko would only need to be in a position to create some magic he can't do that 40 yards from goal on the touch line. I would have him behind Austin Central using swp and hoilett on the wings supported by Barton and 1 other in central midfield

3) formation change. Why not start 4-3-3 today surprise doncaster and send a statement were here to win. Niko Charlie and AJ all start. Or 4-4-2 with 2 proper wingers just try something different and confuse the other team. We are organised and set in 4-5-1 but look so slow and lifeless and it takes an eternity to create anything. Very frustrated like everyone today but agree Harry is doing a great job and were in a superb position we will have the odd defeat in this league

Onto Tuesday, surely AJ has to start this one and we need to start positively and go for it from the start

A work in progress or just plain hard work? Report

I sit in the upper loft and it looked pretty still and quiet from where I was. It seemed the quietest away support this season, although full up.

Agree with most this report, except I didn't think the Brighton fans were loud at all, the sold out upper tier of away end but barely made a noise, quietest away crowd by miles this season. Also, move away from SA Road and you wont see people checking blackberries!! upper loft is place to be

Austin keeps ragged Rangers on course - report
at 13:04:36

as soon as QPR went 1-0 up, I never had any doubt we wouldn't win this game. Wasn't the best performance but we still looked very solid. Birmingham were very positive first half and had 1 great chance and hit the post. After this we never looked like conceding and they offered nothing 2nd half. When we get going and fire up we will be great to watch, but in the meantime a win is a win, happy with another 3 points. Birmingham along with every other club I've watched live or on TV in championship look nothing special at all.

Redknapp and Remy silence the Saints — full match report
at 21:01:00

A fantastic 3 points rarely felt southampton threatened and other than the mistake for the goal we looked comfortable. We looked well balanced and had a proper outlet with remy out wide and going
Forward. Clive I really can't agree with you about st Mary's it's a fantastic new stadium in a nice city with bars only ten mins walk away. This is one of the better new stadiums and exactly what rangers need in west London. You made a point about the atmosphere which is to be argued too. It's not the new stadiums that create an atmosphere it's the importance of the game, the time of year and what's at stake. Look at few examples- Cardiff away 2 years ago when bothroyd scored for them it was deafening incredibly loud. Liverpool away old ground last season I've heard more noise in a morgue. Loftus road last week was terrible against united but Chelsea and stoke last year like a 40,000 stadium. I really dont believe that the age of a ground affects the atmosphere. One other very trivial thing- David hoilett NO it's junior like everyone calls him.

The great unloved — opposition focus
at 13:51:33

aside from the way the club was formed, I have to admire how MK Dons have progressed and the way they play their football. 19,000 people attended our cup fixture at their ground last season (more than our current capacity) so they must be doing something right. Produce local players, great community work, fantastic stadium that can be increased, good young manager. They are doing everything that a 'proper' football club should do. I couldnt care less where they came from, they are being run the right way now and a good football side. If they were to make the championship I could see MK Dons growing further attracting greater crowds and proving to be a good example to other clubs.

Unloved tie gives way to unwanted replay — full match report
at 13:30:32

that really did sound so drab and dull. im sure you made the best of your hand-written notes. It reminded me of when Austin Powers described the 90's - 'a flock of seagulls flew by and that really was about it'! This was my first home missed since Hull 2007 Di Canio's first game due to paying our for chelsea, west ham, xmas for my 2 y/o and I wasnt willing to give them £28.50 (with fee) prior to the chelsea win a scandalous price for this game agreed!

Will the club give loyal fans a free away coach ticket like Burnley in 2009? cant see many wanting to do the replay.

tickets like everyone says, should have been £10-15 simple.

QPR left to count the cost of Hughes’ false ambition
at 22:14:45

I genuinely wanted Hughes to do well at rangers and thought we would progress after last season. I was very surprised like most they we didn't sign a decent centre half and that they expected this defence to succeed. A few clever additions were needed and I expected some of the new signings to be better than proven. His tactics in certain games and substitutions have been very odd. I said to many people after the opening day we had to beat Norwich away or it was going to be tough to bounce back after the hard 3 in a row. They didn't and they continued to lose confidence and conceed poor goal after poor goal. The players attitudes then became awful and they simply didn't want to play for Hughes. It was only ever going to end up like this. I agree the club need stability but 12 premiership games with the backing he has had without a win isn't going to cut it and I believe the call was made at the right time.

Hung by his own players, Hughes now in untenable position — full match report
at 14:36:13

Very good write up, must have been almost as painful as watching the match! I sat there at half time in upper loft and almost had a tear in my eye (genuinely) with watching our club perform like that.

Agree with most on here, Nelson, Mackie, Derry and Taarabt only had the right attitude and passion. I thought also the service to Cisse' was dire and couldnt really be too harsh on him with no help from midfield. The rest were a disgrace to the club and to their profession.

I was baffled by the substitions and the positions players were playing in - granero for example right midfield. The players just dont seem to be getting the basics right especially the weekly gifts of goals we conceed, some this season have been park standard, a total shambles and joke.

I wanted Hughes to succeed but he has lost the dressing room, time to go! The players havent helped him at all, and will basically cost him his job.

when i got home saturday night, I sat in my car for 10 minutes trying to get my head in a 'normal' mode but have continued to be a miserable b@stard since! I then thought to myself - 'what can you do?' ... oh yeah travel to Old Trafford saturday for more pain (mentally and in the wallet) and realise I have to buy my newcastle away ticket to accompany my £70 train ticket!!! we give so much time, emotion, money, our lives into this club - just dont think some players even care that this is people's passion and that the fans give 100% to the club for their whole lives. We only ask they put in 100% for 90 minutes and if they lose they lose, but actually give a t0ss...please

Memories of Royce attack as QPR head to Stoke — history
at 13:36:59

Was at that 2005 game, remember it pretty well and at the 3-2 win last season. I wont be travelling to this one, dont want to jinx the good run! stay away and we will win...

One of the greatest memories being a QPR fan was last season winning 1-0 with a minute to go. The John Motson 'cisse cisse' commentary was legendary and thanks to my uncle and cousin, my 2 year old daughter wakes up saying 'cisse'! its constant, daddy cisse, cisse this cisse that. Ive taken her to the last 2 home games for her to see Cisse and 'The tiger' and when she came into my workplace she kept shouting his name. She is learning Taarabt now! and Queens park rangers. A moment that will be a big part of our lives - cisse's winner!

Lay down your pitchforks, Barton’s not the right target — guest column
at 09:09:40

I agree with the comments regarding the FA, especially the part about Rooney kicking the Montenegro player and the FA appealing!! So its alright when it affects England, but when it's a lower Premiership club the player must be sacked.

Joey Barton hasnt had the greatest of season's but I agree that he is a very good player, the likes of which we havent had for years at QPR. Ive also commented on here before, I dont like the behaviour he showed at Man City, but if the club can give him another chance to put things right, he has to stay and play for Rangers. People keep calling him a 'thug' his reputation has obviously made a lot worse by the press whenever he does anything. Some footballers and other sportsmen do react badly to things and its very much in the spotlight.

I want him to stay at the club (maybe not as captain) but I think with him, Faurlin and Diakite, that would be a very very good midfield. I cant also see QPR wasting £10m to get rid of a player, when he will serve more purpose on the pitch. Hughes will need to put him straight but the suggestions of putting him in the reserves .. really? What business sense does that make £70k a week. He needs to apologise to the club and fans and Man City and we all move on.

Somerset Hoops you wrote 'He never was a player of the QPR ethos and he has no loyalty to his club or team just himself'... why have you said this? Where has he been unloyal to him team? Cisse was sent off twice, the first for a hand in the throat... I totally disagree! What is the QPR ethos?

Life, death and the love of Queens Park Rangers — guest column
at 10:42:23

Lovely article, thank you. All the best to you and your family. Im sure your Dad will be celebrating the QPR survival from above.

My family has the same QPR connection. My Grandad died in 2000 and we still like to think he would have been happy with QPR's championship win and survival. It is a family thing and a massive connection with everyone with the football. My 2 y/o daughter is already a hoop and is shouting 'goal' kicking the ball around.

Hughes’ axe brings overdue end to QPR’s era of mismanagement
at 09:17:59

A very good day for the club, the 4 mentioned (Hall, Borrowdale, Vine and Agyemang) has been burning good money at the club for 3-4 years - incredible. The estimate of £8-10m on their wages is a disgrace and I like most Rangers supporters cannot believe how they got those contracts. I dont wish them well, in fact my chauffeur friend would gladly drive to them to heathrow and f@ck them off out of here. Who actually went and picked Gary Borrowdale from the coventry reserves? I thought he had been long gone from our club, im shocked to have read he has only just been released. Havent seen anything of him for years!

I dont expect Dyer to put in another appearance, but as you say his attitude and efforts may have earned him one last chance, remains to be seen what this contract offer achieves.

I would like to add my thank you to the first 4 mentioned (Shittu, Ramage, Gabiddon and Cook). I think all 4 players gave everything they could and a lot of QPR fans will appreciatte their efforts. Lee Cook giving back his signing on fee was a great gesture to the club and not many footballers these days will show such a gesture and probably wouldnt give a toss about their previous clubs.

Important that these mistakes dont happen again but im sure as a club we can look forward to some good times without these parasites being at the club anymore. A very good day...

Your reputation precedes you, sir — guest column
at 11:02:36

purely on the Joey Barton issue - I dont like the behaviour shown on sunday, from a professional it shouldnt be happening. The occassion may have got the better of him, he was wound up and some people react to these things worse than others. I was frustrated and angry he was sent off sunday and I certainly wasnt shouting his name. However, I genuinely want Barton to stay at QPR he can be a very good player and great for keeping a fighting spirit within the team, it just needs to be done the right way. He has made mistakes, so have others before him and so will others in the future. I truly hope Hughes keeps him at Rangers but he cant be get away with anything else going forward. This has to be the final chance. I think our midfield with Faurlin, Diakite and Barton would be a superb 3 with the option of Derry and possibly 1 other. Thankfully it didnt cost what he did, he will get a long ban but I hope the club will give him a last chance.

QPR cling on to top flight status after amazing day of reckoning — report
at 13:40:03

simply an amazing day. Incredible end to a title race we will never see anything like that for a very long time. QPR were fantastic and the atmopshere Mackie's header created in the Rangers section was incredible. I was slightly disapointed we didnt hold on but it was all about staying up and that is an incredible effort from the club, so proud of you Rangers! The result also helped with escaping what I genuinely believe could have been a nightmare scenario leaving the ground, instead everyone was over-joyed and celebrating which was great. Bolton must have felt sick when we went 2-1 up and held on to injury time.

A day that wont be forgotten for a long time. The club can now clear out the dead-wood and there is enough of it and I believe in Fernandez and Hughes that we can push on now.

COME ON YOU RS!!

LFW Travel Guides — Manchester, Eastlands

Not sure if looking forward to this one, first trip to the ETIHAD Stadium for most Rangers fans and its going to be mega tense. Going to try to get up to the ground before 1pm to find some cheaper parking near the ground. Doesnt sound like away fans are given many options of places to drink before the game and with this game being what it is, might head into the stadium for a few and take in the atmospshere. Where's the Frankie and Benny's when you want one?

Six for one declared, Chelsea annihilate sorry QPR — report

Our first game after my daughter Laila was born. Thankfully didnt attend the forest game. In fact we lost 5 games running when she was born and in that was the 1-0 defeat at home to Scunthorpe the day all my mates and family came to have a drink to toast her arrival... (incredible the cr@p you remember when football is involved)

at 10:08:20

Agree with literally everything written in the article. In a local derby that is meant to mean so much, how the f@ck can it take 90 minutes for a QPR player to put in a proper challenge, it was a p!ss take. Obviously still very angry and upset about the defeat. Had we of conceeded 6 but battled and gave our all, you could accept some of the leagues top sides will do this to us occasionly. The goals we conceeded were a shambles, especially the 4th! I really feared it could be 8 or 9 nil at half time while necking 2 pints of beer very quickly!. One of the most painful days supporting Rangers for a very long time. I left at 6-0 I couldnt stand any more. Very hard to take but got to take it on the chin and get behind the players on sunday and just pray that we are out of the bottom 3 going to city next weekend. If we are out of it, we have half a chance with results going our way.
