Urgently require, experienced striker and goalie for starters . Wonder if the improved offers were good, or sufficient to become free agents ? |

Given the history and the Cowley’s, suggest a loanee might benefit both parties for next season. |

Great game for the Iron . Two great saves by Braintree keeper at vital moments . Johnnie White on the back room staff . Irons v Shrimpers next season. Nice to see Blair get some rewards, played for Brightlingsea Regent couple of seasons ago on loan from the Daggers and worked his socks off . [Post edited 6 May 18:17]

DAVE Huzzey has been appointed manager of Maldon and Tiptree. Good experience has games do mean points rather than Academy football. Etherington still on the payroll so guess U21 position is available . |

Ironic that that a draw keeps us up. Should have do enough to keep a clean sheet. Nothing to be grateful for finishing 90 th in the league. But without Cowley intervention would have relegated before today. Onwards and upwards U’s , has if no progression next season the trapdoor will definitely be open for us yet again . Pressure, Australian cricketer Keith Miller said that’s having a Messerschmitt 109 up your arse. The Normandy Veterans interviewed on TV by school kids today said, it was all about not letting your mates down has they were all in it together. So dropping down another football tier, should be avoided if at all possible, has other life time events it is pretty much inconsequential in the scheme of things. We pretty much earned it if we fall through the trapdoor has finishing 89 th. Remember sitting on the Spion kop end at Layer Road, after the Burnley game in 1990, let’s not have another Groundhog Day event if it is 34 years apart.- PLEASE . |

Should be all over. The Creepies had a goal disallowed for offside after the equaliser. We wondered at live time the results media had a 2-3 scoresheet . Let’s not let the Mingers have the satisfaction of doing us a favour . |
