Agree but, his lack of pace isn’t the issue for me, it’s his in game play, he’s to heavy to compete in the air, his hold up play is atrocious and, he doesn’t rough up defenders for a guy his size.
Needs real one on one work, you can see Burrell has worked on his game, has Kone, if so, the results are currently not showing. |

We played football together in wormholt park as kids, he lived one minute away from Loftus rd.
Amazing how much talent slipped through our scouting system back in the day. |

This is a great post, we are so close, the forwards lack game knowledge and awareness, Kone should die just to hold the ball up, as you alluded to, it kills us!

Was mortified when we got him in, couldn’t believe TF fell for the stupid banners in the loft.
Winning that playoff, as good a day as it was, was indeed the worst thing that ever happened to us, he was going to walk away, allegedly?
We still had money and some decent players for the championship, we could have rebuilt?

I went to a game at LR in the late 79s against Bolton, we lost 1-3 but, Frank Worthington scored the most marvellous of goals, I have never seen the footage of the game. |

It’s the Brentford game that may do for them, they were extremely unlucky but, they went at that game in a gun ho manner, Brentford are a good team, retrospectively, they should have looked to win that game on the break, it was too open. |

Bennie and Obikwu are two for a start that could cover a 3 man attack but, when you have Poku, Chair, Smyth, Vale, Dembele, and a few youngsters knocking, it would be difficult.
Looking at those names, if we don’t sell this summer, this could be the quietest window on record. |

Yes to all of this but, it’s easy to forget, Kone is only 22 and, has just stepped up to the Champ after little time in the professional game.
Think Kone will be a better player next season, we need a CF to take the weight off of him for now. |

This time next year, he would have fully acclimatised to the role, was always a RB, just needs games and coaching, his recovery pace is a huge asset. |
