Unfortnately, Matos not learnt anything from Sheff Utd & Wrexham.
We dont have enough flair or creativity to break these types of teams down.
Im afraid huffing and puffing gets you nowhere. It was a soft penalty yes admittedly, but for all Tymons great offensive flair, basic defending is not his strong point. Lincoln have been more than happy to sit back, keep defending in numbers and wait for the usual defensive error, which if they have done their homework, they will know this will come at some point during the game.
Hope im wrong, but can only see more of the same come 2nd half. If theres no imrovement after 10 mins, he needs to make wholesale changes. |

Potentially, if he doesn't start with his best 11 again today. As others have hinted at, he may chose to meddle with the central pairing again, when the correct footballing decision is glaringly obvious to 90% of Swans fans. |

Monga is a cut above any winger we currently have in the squad. Is Matos afraid that he is completely unpredictable in his style of play. If we are not careful, Man City will recall him and loan him out to a team that values someone of his undoubted ability. After all, Sheff Utd, Wrexham and Southampton, three very poor performances, where we certainly lacked any real cutting edge and having someone able to break the opposition lines and open up the game. |

Is that maybe the issue. Matos doesn't really have enough players, who have the fitness, pace and physicality to play his high press game, the end result being he has to change half the team every game, cos they are knackered. |

Matos needs to stop dicking about with team selection and pick his best 11 instead of trying to keep his big squad happy.
No doubt we will have another starting 11 on Saturday. |

Don't get that. Thought he was at the Liberty for the Watford game last Tuesday, so surely allowed to train with first team until clearance given ?
Prior to that, would have thought he would have trained with the City first team squad, which would have been a good standard. |

Big No from me. If we are trying to play football out from the back then that's Ben ruled out, would rather Seelt be given a game ahead of Ben. No coincidence that we have stopped conceding goals since last seasons centre backs are out of the team. No way we would have got anywhere near being promoted if that had continued this season. |

Hopefully we will get an update from the club ahead of the Southampton game. Really have high expectations of this lad and he will key to unlocking tight games and teams looking to stifle our passing style of play. Could easily be the player of the championship this season, he's that good. |

Was Monga not available for this game. Seemed to me that we lacked that sparkle or cutting edge and pace that was needed to break this deadlock. Agree that yesterday our midfield players all seemed much of a much and needed an obvious outlet whereby that would have given Wrexham something different to think about. When we need to try and be more offensive at home in tight games, as good a start to the season that Fulton has had, I don't think he has enough offensively in his locker to be starting. |

It was obvious for most of last season that defensively we were very poor. Real failing was that our two centre backs cannot play together. They both possess the same frailties, slow, prone to a major error at least once a game and poor with the ball at feet, neither will bring the ball out from the back which has been missing since Darling left. I had hope Matos would have done something about this during the transfer window, but it was looking like he was going to stick with the same pairing at least for the start of the season. Really horrible to see a player pick up a major injury on the eve of the season, but now this has happened, its forced Matos into making a change that has been long overdue. Secondly, both our full/wing backs are great going forward but both cannot defend at this level, so again one more for Matos to think about.
Finally, whilst I cover our weaknesses, am I the only one that cant fathom out, why we haven't prioritised bringing in an offensive midfielder, that has pace, power and a physical presence and is comfortable beating a man and carrying the ball at pace 30-40 yds into the opposition territory. We have not had a player with these attributes since we have been in the championship and would make a big difference when games are tight as in the case of yesterday and give us much more optionality going forward. |

Hopefully their players will have one eye on their Wembley FA cup SF appearance next weekend against Man City and wont want to risk any injuries. 😁 |
