I was in Scotland in a village called Callendar in a pub called the Copice the landlord Bob did indeed go to bed and left the bar to the customers to serve themselves put the money in the till and tidy up, his only stipulation was we had to lock the door as we went out.
It happened to me again in a drinking establishment in Hong Kong called the JK Club on Lantau Island, we were all enjoying ourselves, singing, dancing and probably drunkenly making fools of ourselves when the owner Les said that's it I've had enough and we thought he was going to show us the door as it was well past closing time but no he said I'm coming round this side of the bar anyone who wants anymore serve themselves and write it on a tab.
This was the only pub in the world I have been given a Gin and Tonic in a half pint mug quadruple measure when I asked why he said were very busy and we have no time to wash glasses. Drink up. |

I watched the first 25 minutes last night and they seem to be playing him left wing, he was playing more as a forward than defender, he is very quick. |

Watching the Cardiff V Boro game and the Cardiff goalkeeper Trott must have been watching James, looking good at the moment, probably helps he used to be an outfield player. |

I think that next season whatever the result of the Man City investigation throws up they will certainly want to loan him to a Premier League club, our only chance to hold onto Charles for next season will to be promoted. |

Along with Charles, Smyth has been our most consistent player all season, he reminds me, ( for those who remember him) of Jamie Mackie, never stops running always harrying, chasing and causing general mayhem.
There is not such a thing as a lost cause when Smyth is on the pitch also does his fair share of defending a tireless worker for the team and just seems to get better and better.
The Irish team must have some fantastic players if Smyth can't start games for them. |

I have been to 59 football league grounds, some are no longer in the league but I never got to West Ham or Barnet.
I remember going up to Man City for a night game. must have been early 60's, getting off the train and struggling to breath, the air was toxic with industrial smog. (that's when U.K. made things)
I went to Birmingham to see Rangers win 4-1 in the league cup and was present at Aston Villa and Sheffield Wednesday when we were promoted.
Nicest people I met on my travels were the fans of Bury. |

It's very unusual to get any rain at all up here from end of May until mid October.
Certainly the worst I have known in the 18 years we have lived here.
Solo's a Cypriot friend said it's the worst he can remember and he's 82'
Very unusual. |

I am missing a game as well Clive, Middlesborough.
Not that it matters because I was wrong on scorer and result. |

No doubt in my mind that our best QPR team would have beaten Middlesborough.
They are good but not too far away from us. |

If an offer comes in from any club and it's around 1 million, I would keep him.
At this moment in time he is fitting in really well and in my opinion is by far the best centre back at the club.
The only issue is to keep him fit.
A million pounds is a lot of money to most of us but in the grand scheme of things at a football club at Championship level it is not so much.
If an offer comes in, in excess of 2 million then have another think. |

Right from the kick off it was obvious only one team were interested in winning that match.
They came for a point and our wasteful finishing let them have it. |
