The thing that always amazes me about these write ups is the amount of players that leave Championship teams for free or are released. How this division survives financially is a mystery to me, no one ever seems to recoup any money |

My Dad (also a Rangers fan) was one of the 9 Wembley Scouts that were ball boys. He was 15 at the time, was right there at the far end when Hurst scored the winner. He dined out on that story for his entire life |

Me any little lad stayed behind after the last home game to see the players walk around. We met Kolli and he was brilliant with my boy. His knee was in a brace and he was walking very gingerly. We asked him about and he said hopefully nothing serious. So maybe it's just rehab with that. Agree that fitness seems a big issue with him, I can't remember seeing a player cramp up as much as he does. We've all complained, quite rightly, about pre-season training and general fitness levels so let's hope leaving him at home is about getting him properly fit for the season. I really hope it doesn't mean he's on his way out coz there is a natural talent for finishing there. Every year I hope this is going to be his season, but this season really feels like it needs to be his season to break out.
The club really don't help themselves with this silence about injuries/fitness etc as it leaves so much room for rumour and 'noise'. Kolli's side haven't helped with this either, but I just see a young, hungry talent that wants to play for his boyhood club.
As much as the general silence on injuries is frustrating, I think the club have done a good job by releasing this list and given a bit of clarity to what's going on with certain players. But then, if you're going to do that, why leave off Esq? Typical Rangers I guess. |

What I meant is, it surprises me that Kone, Dunne, Edwards, Varane (maybe less on) aren't modelling the home kit, which I would presume is the one they want to sell the most. Which then makes me wonder why you would keep those players in particular for the kit that we will probably use the least.
With regards to Sir Les, I got his name on the back of my shirt when I was a kid, first time my Mum had ever bought me a named shirt, and we sold him 2 weeks later. Never got over it! 🤣 |

With regards to the 3rd kit, anyone else find it interesting that our most sellable assets (bar Madsen) are the ones modelling that kit? So potentially if one is sold, the 'face' of our new home/away kit won't disrupt the marketing campaign? Dunno, maybe just me being cynical as a result of the world we live in. Just seems weird to me that you wouldn't have Kone for example, as the face of the new home kit [Post edited 15 Jun 11:53]

Yeah, shame it wasn't a proper one as it has been in previous seasons. Might not be much to celebrate this season, but this was the season I started to bring my little boy to matches. Was really looking forward to this one and telling him all about the players walking round the pitch at the end. Also couldn't get tickets for R block so we were stuck down in X watching Derby go on like they'd won the league!!
However, a few of the players came over and we managed to meet and get pictures with Nardi, Adamson. Mbuenge, Kone, Kolli, Varane and my boys hero Paul Smyth. Special shout out to Adamson and Nardi who saw my boy from half way across the pitch and made a beeline straight for him to say hello. Also to Kone, who remembered meeting my mates' Mum at a hospital over Xmas after she recovered from cancer. He had a long chat with her and asked how she is getting on, really nice touch. So although it wasn't the best, my lad had a wonderful day and went home and very happy Ranger |

Letting a very decent central midfielder go out on loan to a rival team, then having your best midfielder get injured and having no cover for him so you have to play your most expensive centre back as a defensive mid is the most QPR of all QPR things!
But the thing is, I've been actively supporting Rangers since 1991 and you could take that scenario above and say it happened in any era in that time and you wouldn't be surprised if that happened. I wouldn't be shocked for that scenario to play out under any manager, owner, sporting director, CEO in that time. What is it about this bloody club? I think I'm nearly fully QPR'd!! |

When did "three game weeks" become a standard excuse in Championship football? For as long as I've been watching football games have been played in midweek. There are 46 league games and not 46 weekends in a season, so games need to be played midweek. If you are aspiring to be the top of your profession, you will be playing cup games and in Europe, also necessitating "three game weeks". Why is this roled out as an excuse for playing utter crap, frequently by Rangers managers over the past few seasons? Who started it, why is it accepted?!
And anyway, it's a two game week: midweek and weekend. You can't have two Saturdays in the game week! |

Cheers Clive, great report. I took my 5 year old boy to his first ever match at Loftus Road, what a day we had and brilliant to come away with a win. We were quite close to the front in R block, was great to see the celebrations in front of us when Vale's goal went in. Another lifelong Rs fan was created on Saturday 💙
Ps. Thought RND was decent as left back, did a solid job and kept his winger quiet who looked like he could be a handful. Saito is a great player, constantly looking to go forward. Really impressed with Madsen, his turnaround from last season is something else. Great to have some selection problems for once with players coming back from injury. Early days but feels like we might actually get to enjoy this season! |

In fairness, it wasn't as bad as I thought it might be. Mbengue was really good I thought. Dunno what that goal kick routine is all about, seems to just put us under pressure. We should've have won that one, but at least we didn't lose
Big plus that they have Poretti on the bars rather than just Calsberg. But the bars were so under staffed and the staff were clueless. Surely for the 1st game of the season you get as many bar staff as possible!! |

Bit too white at the top, but I like the blue trim on the bottom of the shorts. Overall a pretty decent kit, better than the MS Word pattern on the hoops last year. Just bought 2 mini kits for my boys, it's the baby's first Rangers kit. COYRs! |
