You can blame LF or whoever but the person who led the Academy, whom is no longer part of the Academy set-up, is the prime reason why we have not seen many players develop as we would want to happen. A lot of things have changed since she departed and there are a lot of things to do to get us 'up & running'.
As far as the poor results, whilst you do not want to see the teams beaten and beaten comfortably the key is improving players to get them ready for 1st Team activity. That will take time because of all of the changes and different mindset of the 'Top Team'. |

Excellent to have the time on the training pitch & classroom.
MC will review how we have played in the past 4/5 matches with the Team and coaches, a few days rest, a few days working on our failings, a few days with new ideas, a few days educating new players, a few days working hard on fitness and a chance to blend together as a team. Then the final part getting ready for our game at Sheffield Wednesday.
All good stuff. |

I, along with many posters, have proved you wrong about Dykes (he was a very limited CF and not good enough for the Championship) and you still cannot see it. Lets see how he gets on at B 'ham (not our problem thankfully).....how many goals or assists do you think he will score this season for B'ham (??) if he is as good you you think despite his failures at QPR. I do not know because I do not know that standard of the 1st Division - I basically do not watch it. |

He was bullied in most matches that he played in.......far, far from being brave or hard.
As I said in another post, he was not good enough for Championship, hence why he has gone to a Div 1 team. I think that is justification on my part and not yours. |

I, as you well know, did not rate LD. I never used the word 'useless' for a professional footballer because they are not useless. I prefer to be more reasonable and use words like 'limited' & 'not very good' - sadly I used those words frequently for LD. I wish LD no harm in the world but some of the 'stuff' that posters write about LD is just 'proper rubbish'. He did not work especially hard, he was not a strong player, he was not quick, he was not brave....basically 'he was not'.
Anyways, good luck to the boy, hope it goes well for him at B'ham. |

Dykes is basically 3rd choice, he is going to score sometimes and that sometime was at Sheffield. He is not good enough for a Club like ours and not a Championship standard.
Also, I think Frey looks better than last year, how good he is I reserve judgement. Cedar looked better on Saturday although he did not take a couple of opportunities. |

Most Managers would have done better than Southgate......I didn't have an issue with Sven and, yes, I recon if he was dealt with Southgate's hand he would of been successful. We went out of those tournaments because of bad individual errors - penalties and Seaman error. |

Rich has it right......MC decides who he wants and Nourry progresses the transfer & providing that player fits the model we try and sign that player.
There is absolutely no way that Nourry decides how we play tactically, who plays every week, etc, etc or which players we sign apart from some input. |

Anyone who cant get a first team place on a regular basis & not start ahead of Frey, Armstrong or Celar cant be very good.....and a struggling Championship player. [Post edited 25 Aug 20:33]

Well, if you think that he is a better header of the ball than our 3 big defenders then sobeit - but he isnt 100%, he would win a very low percentage of headers against any of them. Likewise he would struggle against a few other of our bigger boys.
Re Championship level....you have zero evidence apart from a few posts and a few newspaper/www articles that Millwall will be signing him. He should know himself that he is struggling at this level and it would be even more difficult at Millwall. League 1 or Scotland at best - we will see. |
