Nice to have a positive thread rather than the potential league one reset we were facing before Marti
My head says he needs at least 2 summer transfer windows and some FFP headroom before a promotion push, but I’ll stick a tenner on just in case. |

All went on after decent spells with us
Marti has already shown us how good he is, if we can stay up next season will be epic.
I hope he stays with us for a few years, I’m sure he will get a massive job in time. |

That’s the way I saw it too. As other posters have mentioned it also seems we struggle to play well when we have 3 games in a week, or in that mid week game, we lacked energy and intensity.
Stoke got their tactics right but when it’s a tight game to break the deadlock, you need a piece of brilliance, a mistake, a refereeing decision to go for you or you may be able to get out on a set piece. Our corners both for and against make for grim reading. The only other observation is that at one point in the second half we had 8 players on the pitch that weren’t at the club last season and yet we saw a similar performance that has typified us over the last few years. Not sure if we can avoid the drop now, Marti will have to go all out for wins which I can’t see us achieving. [Post edited 16 Feb 9:06]

Mad game
The ref gave us the pen, and sent one of theirs off and then we go 2=1 down, doom and gloom but they kept believing, and got the win.
To be fair I thought Stoke were pretty decent and we struggled at times, but we started to play a bit before their red card, so small steps, I think the confidence levels are starting to go up, we done Marti |

Echo all of that.
Some of the best football I’ve seen us play was under him.
FA cup final, promotion and then qualified for Europe, used a lot of home grown players also.
