I couldn't put it better myself as I expressed such commitments during the game! What happened with Leo Walta? I've hear nothing regarding his absence. It seems Sheffield United for a new way to waist time. It took on average 30 seconds to retrieve the ball because no one was in a hurry to get their hands on it. The goal keeper got away with to many of the 8 seconds rule and the ref was poor overall. I though the laws of the game was to help speed up the game right. Well it makes difference at all if the Ref doesn't enforce them! |

I'll through out my opinion regarding those lull dull game periods, for what it worth any.
We tend to try hard to make things happen and even step up the pace to force the change dynamics of the game right. We take unnecessary risks at time both in possession and out of it that end up favouring the opposition! Out of possession you know and can see potential players who may make a runs and cause alsorts of problems right. However, long before they make their runs you can disrupt their ability to achieve that. Simply causing them to stop in their tracks by running across their paths or get them to change their own objectives in the way they planned it. Sticking close is one thing but interfering their subjective ideas is completely different and so will the outcome! Ref's and linemen are looking for fouls right but if you impede a player before he gets out of the blocks the officials can't seem it as foul play because these things happen off the ball. You have to be clever about it of course but not marking it to obvious it becomes part of the game. Accident's do happen right?! It's something that needs to be learned and practiced on the training field first.
On the ball during those lulled times instead of trying to makes things happen slow the game right down. It's established we can move the ball around all day long. Without the urgency to make things happen and taking risks in doing so take a rest bite on possession. It wears the opposition down chasing the ball but you are taking time out to regroup and wait for the time is tight for the midfield game dictator to give the signal to step it up and make their moves. Of course the opposition are not expecting it by this time because they've chasing the ball. The element of surprise will always catch them out! We have a lot of good players on the ball and a few Okay can become fun right ππ! Off the ball play is a trick that's quite within the rules and it's not obvious. Who is to say it's deliberate? That's difficult to prove and no one is really looking for it either!
That's me thinking outside the box and sharing ideas that could be quite useful to everyone!

Well summed up am very articulated reportπ! A win at Stoke is most welcome indeed because they are so rare for the Swans. I'm sure Matos will note of those lulled moments in the game and they must find a way to resolve that in my point of view. I gave Ben some stick after last week's game but people don't appreciate constructive criticism. He was for the most back to his normal way of playing and that's great to see. Everything about this particular game in the way the boys played were great markers for what we can expect from them going forward for the rest of the season. I saw real character even after going one down. To come back in the way they did especially away to Stoke City indicated to me there's a Silver Swans Spirit lurking in this team. Hats off to the coaching staff for their behind the scenes part in this victory. A win at Stoke is something to be greatly valued, because it makes a statement we can compete even a those tough places where a draw is usually hopeful! Well deserved with the Jack Army truly a 12th man today! |

Rumour has it that Southampton are ready to tablet a bid around Β£20-23 million!? Of course if a stricker (Welsh) of that quality has left the building then a replacement would naturally be required. I I would be delighted if Zan P stayed, but when you have clubs with money to spend put an offer on the tablet the Swans can't efuse, it's only wise to take it! Matos wants to strengthen the team in certain areas and that takes money to get the player(s) he wants... obviously! It's a tricky business the transfer window and sometimes you need to make sacrifices to improve the team as a whole! If I were a betting man (which I'm not!) I believe he's gone. However, I could be wrong? We'll see! |

That one game was a big turning point in our season, if we put any effort into that game then a top six possibly was on the cards! That was hard for me to take and I opted not to go to another game for the rest of season after that! There are things going on (in ever) at the club we are unaware of, so we speculate. If it's out of our control then why worry about it? The problem is because we are connected and so we do! |

Excellent observational input with clarity! I'm confident work in going on in the background to fix this unresolved issue. It would be seriously dumb to ignore the wise warning I would suggest most fans are aware of. They got VP (for one) to agree to new deal well beforehand, and to be fair the coaching staff are not fully aware what is going upstairs. Things appear to be going in the right direction and have been doing so for some time. We all agree on that I'm sure and it's a good thing you are pointing these things out. Everybody is aware of the talant Galbraith brings to table and offering a new deal will only increase his value. You don't need a calculator to see that. Patience needs to provail and hammering out an agreement will take time, but I'm confident it's in the works and a new deal will be accepted! |

Yep, a circus it has become! Of course money talks right!? I would think it would be voted down from what I heard on the grapevine, however, however, stranger things do happen! It makes no difference to me because I just watch one team, SWFC. I monitor the Championship and the Welsh Clubs but everything else, it's already just a circus and too time consuming to be of any real benefit. There is far more to life than watch football and sport. After watching you press the remote and it gone, history of no real value other than for the statitions who are killing the the beautiful game!

Really tough indeed, but isn't every game in the Championship? Isn't one game at a time the usual mantra? Don't concerning yourself with what's out of your control. Play it by ear I say! You can't plan for the game after the game that's upon us next. I could tell you why but I'm sure you can figure out for yourself. The Transfer window is now closed of course and you can only cook up with what you have before you right. I'm confident our coach is well able to negotiate and immediate hiccups that may show up! He's happy with what he has in this team (his words not mine!) so let's focus on Sunday's game and see what happens thereafter! We are more than good enough with a coach who can adapt according and that is why the club opted to get him on board!

If he lacks anything then the coaching staff at Swansea will put that right! The Swans have been craving for a genius attacking midfielder and I'm confident Leo (the lion) will shine at Swansea City! Remember Leon Briton, he was written off for being to small too and look what he achieved! Having Leon on the coaching stuff also Leo has a good mentor to help him in those things he might be lacking! Leo is in good hands and I'm confident the lad will gel into the team nicely and bring the strikers those balls they have been craving for! For a team the way Swansea City having no natural attacking midfielder has been the cause of our struggles! Role on the summer to seek cover for that role. Sounds logical right!

100% refreshing to know where the club stands on issues regarding first team regulars. The club is not going to allow anyone to leave that are solid and established and are happy at the club. They are not going to sell unless they have their replacements in place and are on par, if not better than those who may leave. The day's of Swansea City being a must selling club are gone. We have the right backers at the club who are pro Swans business people and fans! I trust in them because they know how the game is played! Not many clubs have the confidence in the owners and board members as we do. Their are of course the doubters but they want their success the fast food way! As a fan I would say we are playing some of the best football in a very long time and the transfer windows are to build upon what good for the club we already have! As fans it's out of our control and we must trust those who are directing the ship! What I see is all positive but I also know Rome wasn't built in a day!
Roll on that elusive away victory. It's coming and hopefully the habit develops because we all know the team we have now are more than good enough to achieve that!

Wow, 70% of the possession and completely controlled the game yet we lost! Hull City must be asking themselves, how on earth did we get away with this one? 70% possession showed they were spectators on their own turf yet picked up 3pts!
I was convinced this game was for the taking for us and in truth it should have been just that. So dominant yet toothless in front of goal. What is the point of travelling all that way up to Humberside and demonstrate great football tactical yet unable to put the ball in the net? Liam Cullen speared our blushes (π) and Matos did everything he could to give the fans something to shout about!
I'm not disappointed but rather surprised and bewildered wondering how on earth we didn't pick up 3pts from this game!? Only the player's themselves can answer that one. They did everything to win the game but got the basics all wrong...again!!!
Your report was completely in line to what I listened to and I'm sure you were scratching your head as we all were asking, well the heck happened out there because there was no logical reason why we didn't win this game outright. I'm also sure the Hull fans would have had no complaints at all if we did! Matos says, we learnt a lot from that game and I'm sure he's right but even he must be is puzzled by the fact this game should have been in the bag for usπ€!

Technically the Swans are the underdogs for this one. Our away record is far from great this season, but we've got thing to lose. However, the coach is doing a great job and should we get the win here should be enough for the boys to start dreaming of higher things. This one game can literally turn our season from championship contenders for next season or Premiership via the play off's!? I'm a believer the glass is half full not half empty right. I would say, if the Swans had a Cup final type game this season then this would be the big one. We are not expected to win this one, but from what I'm seeing from the boy's of late is more of a probability than a possibility. This is a game of football and these things have been done before right!? This game can be the big one for us, but no pressure because everyone else I guess is planning for Championship football next season. Personally, why on earth would we want to simply accept that? It's a defeatist mentality or acceptance of being resigned to rather that what we can really achieve! Are my expectations to high? Is it possible? I'm not a defeatist because it is possible to achieve it! Yeah, it goes without saying one game at a time, and Rome wasn't built in a day, but we all dream of what could be. Those could be's can hang on just one game like this one and the coach has the ability to motivate the team to find that extra 1% that makes all the difference if winning, losing or drawing the game. Blackburn's goal was written on a billboard a good 30 seconds before they scored. How on the earth can that be one could ask? Trying to play out from the back when the press was on them! It's all well and good to play out from the back when you have space to work in but when the press is on as Blackburn did the inevitable was there for all to see! One long ball out of defence changes defence into attack right, even if it's a hit and hope!
Ethan Galbraith has been off his game for the last to matches and I think the guy needs to be rested. He would be the first to admit that because he know he can do better. Put Josh Key back in and see how he performs. He's showing signs of his former self so why not let him do what he does in his natural position!?
A great result but they could have made it easier on themselves! Matos used the term "tired". Then why not put players who haven't played the pitch like Josh Keys? I know it's a learning curve for him too but come on, tired? The game has become about stats now and they in my opinion are a complete waist of time and technically on the day mean nothing!
If course we are all the perfectionists rightπ!

We need to overload the box when the wide men come to deliver the crosses. Their defence are in caution mode and they just want to get that ball as far away as they can. If they do then we can deal with the aftermath of that. With the pinball option as the crosses come in with numbers in the box it becomes a free for all right! We did see it against Birmingham City at times and wow, it was great football to watch!!! I'm confident when those efforts go in, it will have a knock on effect as the instincts take over!
I was great to see Ben hitting those diagonal balls when they were trying the press. It got us out of jail and all of a sudden we were on the front foot again. Reminded of the Ashley Williams day's who did it so well for the Swans and Wales!
Patience is called for because I see it coming together nicely and I'm enjoying the football! . I just needs to click and somethings it can take a longer than hoped for. It there for all to see and hitting the bar three times again a half decent side isn't bad at all. I never take a win for granted because it has a habit of coming back and bitting you on the ass. It's on the day and prepping the player's, and that is where the coach comes into his own! |
