I felt that as usual after we score we lose focus. we relaxed and allowed a team that were not even in the game get their head and start to pressurize. The left side defensively is very weak with Manning and Scienza and their goal was inevitable. for me I see little motivation from either the bench or on field after we score. Somebody needs to remind the team..." you are most vulnerable after you score." As for Azaz perhaps a couple of weeks playing reserve football may improve what seems to be his " no one to replace me " attitude.

An interesting article, some of which, many will be in agreement with. It does start with mistakes made once, twice, three times a week. Manning cost at least a goal a game. He is at best a poor defender and not that great going forward. So as a wing back NO. Wood poor quality defending also leaves the rear vulnerable. Up front we have to have some sort of target player to hold up play for the midfield to join. Currently our possession in our final third results in giving the ball away on the halfway line. Mr Eckert does not seem to see the midfield running back and forth, chasing shadows. His five man back line is wrong,wrong,wrong. His front line the same. Humbly I believe that just looking at the starting line up tells you everything you need to know. A CB who is league 1 at best, a left back who should have been left back, at home. I thought that substitutions were to blame for Saturdays loss. Jander and Manning were both struggling so after scoring felt two changes were needed. Welington and Romeu. Millwall played us off the park for most of the second half and we did well to get that second goal, and when Aribo probably the worst player we have came on I felt the game was gone. Hopefully Tonder learned a big lesson. |

Maybe I'm wrong but we work hard to score one goal and both midfield and defence go into relax mode. That's Still's job to motivate the players to intensify pressure to increase a one goal lead to two or more, That does not happen. If you manager watch you see little or no reaction to on field mistakes or successes. His tactical nowse is a little limited and when substitutions are called for...and often are, his timing and choices are a little lacking.
He needs to learn from these errors, bite the bullet and apologise for them publicly and change his ways. Xmas would be my deadline to start seeing that but if there is no response SR should order the taxi. |
