Some very good points there, I wonder if it will rumble on or be swept under the carpet. I suspect the latter. The other inconsistency I see is the validity of the semi-final. If the logic is that Saints were guilty of spying and so should be expelled from the play-off competition, then at what point should they have been expelled? They confessed to three spying occasions prior to the semi-finals, so if they are to be banned, the Saints v Middlesbrough semi-final should not have taken place... the two games should be disregarded and re-played with the correct teams. Id be quite keen to pursue this logic if I was a Wrexham supporting lawyer. |

I only remember one Matty goal, but at least it was enough. To misquote something Napoleon probably never said "I'd rather have a lucky manager than a good manager”. I hope we havent used up too much of the 2025-26 pot of luck in the cup competition already. New system, changed team yes but considerable lack of confidence also - Downs should have at least 2 goals to his name by now. Lets hope we stay lucky! |

Ive no doubt that Jack is a 100% good guy, passionate about the club and a good influence in terms of attitude for the younger players. Those arent the only criteria for selecting our CB however, footballing ability should weigh heavily in the equation. I wish him all the very best and am very happy for him to be at the club…successive managers are seeing something I don't see, but I just get very nervous when I see him in the team. |

I saw Jack's first game for Saints reserves when he arrived at the club. Let's just say it wasn't an outstanding performance, in my opinion.
In my eyes he has been a liability, but I'm not a football manager and plenty of them have seen things in Jack that I haven't. They may know more about football than me. Being positive, there's no doubting his whole-hearted approach and at times he appears calm on the ball. After games like the Bournemouth one, you can understand why a manager would rather have a fighter in the team than, lets say, a more technically gifted one... its a balance. Ideally you'd have a team of brilliantly gifted players who give everything in every game, but that's for very high spending owners only. Russ is trying to play Pep football with Championship players - he's trying to adapt, but its not easy is it?! I wish Jack well, I admire his spirit, and hope he proves people wrong |

"could be set to make a Premier League return if Martin, 38, does not improve the Saints’ results" was the report I read... its not rocket science to speculate that a manager could be sacked if they get bad results - just throw a few out of work or promising managers into the ring - good for a few clicks |
