Don't open that can of worms again! ;D

There are posters on here that know the truth, but wont say

Personally if I was Furs and I'd just won the DS FA Cup then I'd be wanting some kind of promotion maybe instead of a cycling coach or Kevin Betsy???

Anyway, good luck to the man, i've seen various interviews where players like Eze have mentioned how good he was for them and that speaks more to me than a paragraph from Nourry on the clubs website!

We must have some of the worst "celebrity" fans.
Didn't Victoria Cohens brother also go to QPR? Seems to have dropped off telly since his outburst in the Waitrose in house magazine, oh well...

I think we all agreed not to post articles from paywalls to protect other journos incomes etc...

But there are many websites you can use, which open up articles for you if you do a quick search.

Nice job, well done Furs!

With the rate that Watford get through first team coaches he should be able to progress at this club if he does well

RND
at 17:42 8 Apr 2026

Its a no from me, for what its worth.

I think posters are right and RND is a steady Eddy, where when he plays you know what you are going to get.

However, he didn't play too many games in the three game week, although is very regular now.
I think 7/10 performances are his ceiling, not his average.

No one knows, but I'd imagine he is on the last knockings of a PL contract, so that probably puts him at the top of our pay scale.
-- Has he been one of the top performers?

In the last three windows the clubs recruitment has been largely good. I think I'd prefer to see if we can find two young LB's on £5-10k a week than pay one RND £15-20k a week

I'm sceptical of the Matthew Rose syndrome, where players who want a contract start looking like Pele

Anyway, what do I know, I reckon for a full back a bit factor is who is in front of you and if its SWP or similar then god help you!

Summer transfer rumours 2026
at 17:31 8 Apr 2026

Yep, it seems the club are still susceptible to a Tony Fernandes esque popularist reaction.

Which I think Hayden was and to some extent Edwards.
Although Edwards can also fit into the youth development model. I think there is a good player in there for the future!

One off the list was Saito, not sure we needed him at the time, as we had lots of players of a similar position and size.

RND was a reaction to the Larkeche injury and going into a season thin and crispy at left back. He's been really good in the last few games, at least a 7/10 but I worry its a bit Matthew Rose timing and I hope the club look elsewhere, as if his wages are top end we could sign two prospects like Morgan for the same budget

Personally I think they have invested too much in Walsh this season, unless another club makes a silly offer for him I reckon hes in goal next season

I think that video of Bould might have been from his first week. He was probably still learning names/personalities etc...

I thought he came across very well, and from what I could tell the session was focussed on getting the ball forward quickly, which was refreshing compared to Marti's style of switching around the back four until something opens up

Take a good look at him, he's the ideal bad cop to JS good cop.
Would you mess with him? ;D

In all seriousness I'm not sure we ever heard from Kevin Blackwell or Kevin Bond much either. The only times I can recall is if the manager leaves and they become caretakers for a bit

Makes sense, I don't think Warbs played many of the DS, apart from Eze, which was one of the reasons he clashed with Les wasn't it?

Championship Agent Fees

I'd loved to see this when Hughes was in charge. I bet 95% of all incoming had the same agent...

I saw that for PL teams there were x3 agents involved in one contract extension, is this normal?

Didn't Warburton play him a bit at QPR, or have I hallucinated that?

EDIT*
I checked, sub appearance before, but full debut was under Marti

Unfortunately, he's going to be one of those players who looks ok in the Champ (but not really good enough), but can't cope in the lower leagues.

Feel sorry for the lad, he should have been loaned out earlier in his career, so that by the time he was Morgans age he had his 20+ professional apps

Our school rat run is 10000% worse on rainy days, where the mums will just dump their Range Rover in the middle of the road while Tarqin jumps out, all good fun!

personally I like a 20mph area. There are two schools near where I live and all the surrounding roads are supposed to be 20mph.

But, they are clearly marked on the road and with signage.

The last fine I got was for driving past Latymers where the road is now for residents only!
The size of that sign, coming off the Talgarth Road is a joke, not sure how you can read an essay written on an A4 sign on a fast road when its placed about 10m before the turn...

I'm not sure its the speed limit that is the issue, its the changing between them all the time, with poor signage.

The A40 is pretty bad now, going from 70mph near Swakeleys down to 50, 40, 30, 40 etc...

Luckily the traffic is so bad its rarely an issue

Don't disagree with any of that, however;

1. Nourry is a popularist, and I wouldn't be too shocked if Cook did sign on again. I thought Jimmy was gone last summer and shocked when he got the contract he wanted and stayed.

2. It could be a bit of shop window couldn't it? But I thought when he's played Steve has looked good this season. But, not sure there are many takers for him on the wages hes on now, plus he might be looking for longer contracts to see him out?

3. Yeah, I'd forgotten about Bould, that little training video they showed made him look very tidy as a coach, it seemed like he was doing a drill where the defenders got the first pass forward quickly, very nice to see

Nourry interview
at 15:47 24 Mar 2026

Personally, I wouldn't be massively shocked if he moves cycling Ben on to something else.
He's not afraid to make changes and QPR love a popularist move.

If there is enough ground swell (I'd argue an injury to Kone would do it) then Ben would be off to pastures new tout suite, because it would be converted into goodwill for Nourry.

Look at how often real Politian's behave like this, these 1%'s are ruthless b'stards

Well no one really knows anymore, I guess we'll all have to wait until Steve brings a book out.

From the wording on that last contract extension that went out we can only infer that Steve Cook had some extension linked to a number of appearances or similar, so he was able to take up an extra year, when it sounded like the club were not so fussed.

I imagine its because when Gareth signed him it was on a decent wedge (like Begovic) and this has increased year on year to the point where its broken the wage structure?

So, its no surprise that Cook didn't want to leave, or was unable to find a club to match those terms.

Perversely, this goes against our game model of buying young talents and developing them for sale, but despite all of this Steve Cook has been one of our standout performers (again) and the side normally looks better for having him in it.

He seems the right sort of professional character that the club should try to keep around and def one that our fragile youngsters should look upto, I'd imagine that Cook hasn't played a football match pain free for years!

We should look to ease Steve into coaching if its not talked about already, we've got a few young centre backs who wouldn't do any harm in learning from him.
