Opinions are all subjective, league positions are still ability based and always have been, same with kids football the better teams play in a higher league for a reason.
Last season we were less physical and nice whilst lacking pace all over the team too, something that looks like its been/being addressed with various signings most recently Flint who as pointed out in this post by DA struggled early in the game today whilst trying to pass the ball out from the back, hes far bigger than anyone we had last season and his dominance and aggression to defend was massively needed in this side, that's not an insult to last season more an acknowledgement to what this side needs.
Its not a coincidence we picked up so many wins whilst also playing at the lowest level in our history, the very same reason why we wont and never have won as many games in this division, because its far harder and a better ability level. |

It is the lowest standard of football we've ever played at any point in time,its a division below for a reason, similarly had we dropped out of division 4 decades ago however crap the standard in the division below was then it would still have been a drop down as it still is today, nothing to do with a 'superiority complex' its simply factual.
We had a soft belly last season while in the main relying on tippy tappy possession based football it worked results wise no doubt about it, whether you enjoy watching that is all down to personal preference, I found large chunks of games as dull as dish water and boring, some friends of mine felt similar watching City too under Pep for the very same reason.
Id say having the least amount of yellow/red cards out of all 24 teams goes someway to back up the above too, still not sure how winning a certain amount of games quantifies a team for being either nice/not nice though, how does that work? [Post edited 19 Sep 19:09]

Why wouldn't you naturally put Flint on Fondop for set pieces especially, I like how he bosses everyone else around him too, like a 'proper' captain. |

Ramming is a big concern, his kicking amd the choices he makes when being closed down are a worry, he also doesn't commend his area well enough when he comes out for a catch. Big shift put in and Gilmour was absolutely everywhere Moss is just quality. We do look a bit more physical and aggressive which is nice to see, I thought the whole team looked too soft (nice) last season |

Its not really a 'toxic atmosphere' its very much justified as a direct result of piss poor performances and even worse results coupled with confusing management.
When does 'bad luck with injuries become an excuse rather than a reason, the reality is the players at his disposal have in the main been brought in by the manager and the others already here are easily good enough to be at worst competitive at this level, the fact is lose another 4/5 games and the axe will fall regardless of what has/hasnt happened previously 👍 |

He was absolutely abysmal at Wembley too, having seen some real real shite down the years hes definitely up there for being one of the most frustrating to watch, his physicality should make him unplayable at times yet he wanders around like hes lost far too often, another player if given any time to think and a few options you can guarantee it will come to nothing, if he plays on instinct he can frustratingly be pretty decent. |

Have as much of the ball as you like, its absolutely fooking pointless if you do cock all with it other than fanny around playing a million and one safe sideways passes, it's still pretty amusing that teams like us are still so hell bent on playing such a way, it borders on lunacy. |

Lovely to hear a manager that says things how it is too, he also seems to really thrive in the huge intense pressure moments of games, you can always see his reasoning behind the changes he seems to make too, the team will clearly run through a brick wall not only for him but also for each other which, however far we get in this tournament im not sure any other manager would get us any further. |
