I'm not writing him off because of his unconvincing, mainly, substitute appearances this season but I've relatives on the south coast and I have also seen him play a number of games for Bournemouth over the past two/three years. I think he's one of those players who has always had to work hard as he didn't have quite the same level of natural ability as many of his peers at Bournemouth and at 32 years of age, he now seems to be running out of steam. I'm not really sure what he brings to our team, either as a starter or as a sub. |

I sit in the east paddock and we heard him do this on three occasions in the second half.
Not sure what he shouted but it sounded like, ' AWARGAWEEEARGAH'. This may mean something to persons of a northern persuasion as it could be one of the Middlesboro dialects or just a load of old nonsense. Whatever it was, it was ineffective as the defender (the same nasty American from Chelscum who tried to kill Rangel earlier) didn't appear unduly concerned by this outburst - rather amusing though. |

Wow, you and I certainly saw a different game tonight. It's the first time that I've thought Warburton got the subs all wrong. Maybe Rangel picked up a knock (and yes, I realise that MW wanted to change the formation to a back three in the second half) but I don't think Kane is a particularly good defender. I was quite enthused about Amos pre-season but since he picked up an injury he hasn't looked the same player. He wasn't at the races today, nowhere near the pace of the game and looked completely lost to me. As for Pugh, I think he's awful. One of those players who was good for a number of seasons but the years have caught up with him now and he doesn't offer anything either going forward or defending - looks like Ji-Sung Park mark two to me. |

I was always lead to believe it referred to a coating of tar and feathers.

It was definitely in July/August, could have been 1967, couldn't have been 1968 (Marsh broke a bone in his foot in pre-season) but I think it was 1969.
It was the last time I stood in the lower School End (non-segregation in those days) and I remember saying to my mate at the start of the match, 'what have all these jocks got in their duffle bags?' We soon found out. They contained glass bottles of beer which they proceeded to drink before chucking the empties at us! Not surprisingly this caused panic and a mass migration to Ellerslie/South Africa Road stands - and that was before Marshy got a bit lively!! |

I once had the dubious 'distinction' of being interviewed by Terry Cinzano. It was for the Matchday Programme v Leicester in October 2009 as part of his '50 Successive Years in Hoops' articles. It coincided with my own, then, 50 years as a supporter - which will become 60 years v Brentford on the 28th October. Talk about coming full circle, QPR v Brentford on 31st October 1959 was my first match (we lost 4-2 by the way) but two goals from Brian Bedford and I was hooked. Many memories and many ups and downs since then of course and I suppose it's taught me that in life, it's best to expect the cloud as opposed to the silver lining - then you don't get too disappointed when it all goes tits up! |

I seem to remember I was taught in school (yes it was a very long time ago) that Hadrian's Wall was built entirely in England and never formed part of an Anglo-Scottish Border. Can that be correct? |

Not sure about Hugill but Wells is out of contract in August (when he will have already turned 30) so there may be a reasonable chance that he could sign permanently if both parties are in agreement and his wage demands are acceptable to the club. |

I seem to recall that we 'looked at him' when he was with Walsall - where he made the PFA League One Team of the Season two years running. That got him a transfer to Bolton but they hardly used him in the Championship last season for whatever reason; perhaps he was injured a lot. I believe he left Bolton in the summer because, like many others, he hadn't been paid for months. |

I'm not convinced that he purposely headed the ball back to Wells. Wasn't sure at the time and having seen the replays a few times I'm still not sure that it didn't rebound of the left back. Look, I don't dislike him but think that he often beats his man and then delays his cross (thus wasting a potential scoring opportunity) and as has been evidenced, his shooting leaves a lot to be desired. Far better on Saturday when he shot instinctively rather than having to think about where he wants to put the ball.
And I know we all think of him as a young exciting prospect (which on one hand he is) but he has played almost 140 first team games and started his career in the Championship some five years ago so he is not inexperienced by any means. |

My issue with Barbet is that he seems to go to ground as a first resort. Do that in the area and it's inevitably going to mean a pen. Does anyone know what his record was at Brentford? This season he's played twelve games and conceded three pens or one every four games. At this rate he will have given the opposition around 12-13 goals because we don't have Alex Smithies to save any of them. Don't know about Kelly's record. Even though he saved one in the Leauge Cup game, his stupid dancing about yesterday ensured that he was always going to get beaten and Joe's record is hopeless. I believe he's faced 11 pens in first team games, 10 were scored and one sailed over the bar! |

That's the same site that scored BOS a 7.7 (third highest). Whoever did that couldn't have been sober. Apart from his (well taken) goal, he was at best average. We were saying at half time that he should have been subbed in favour of Hughill, thus playing two strikers up front and moving Chair wider. And immediately after he scored that's exactly what MW did. And why you would give such a high mark to someone who only played 2/3 of the game is odd - unless, for example, they came on as a sub and scored a hat trick! |

Don't disagree and the same applies to Chair. Both look to have the ability to take games by the scruff and really dominate the opposition. Hopefully with more appearances together they will become ever more confident and the club will begin to reap the rewards - the down side will be that some bastard premiership club will snap them up for a pittance. |

Yes, superb performance today. It's amazing that most, if not all, of Warburton's predecessors saw him as a peripheral figure. Perhaps he has blossomed because of the faith shown by MW, perhaps it's because he's now 23 or perhaps it's because he has appeared to have grown about five inches taller in the last eighteen months!
And to think, we would have probably seen none of these great performances if Wallace had been fit at the start of the season! |

We need me to go on holiday more often. Whilst I was away we beat Wednesday, Luton and Millwall. Since I got home we've lost twice. Therefore, if anybody would like to fund a vacation for Mr and Mrs Misery, please feel free to offer me the contents of your bank account. |
