I retired 10 years ago the year before the new pension came in so I'm already 3k a year down with that gap increasing year on year.

And yes I do have a private pension which every youngster should contribute too personally I'd make it mandatory

I retired 12 months before the new state pension came in so I'm receiving the old rate about 3k less

Sorry but what a load of waffle yes my pension has grown but so has my tax bill you are aiming your ire at the the wrong group benefit claimants who have never worked including many youngsters who have no intention of working would be a better target

I worked hard in heavy industry from the day I left school for 42 years so i think ive paid my dues

Are they paying for the pip and uc as well? I paid in for 42 years on the understanding that I would receive a pension on retirement so pardon me if I don't feel any guilt at all

My point is you are pointing at the wrong people how about clamping down on pip and people falsely claiming benefits who have never worked a day in their life

You do seem to have a problem with pensioners i paid in for 42 years and I certainly dont class it as a benefit more should be done against claimants who have never worked a day in their life
