Yeah I remember KK been the manager for City for the pre season friendly. The reason for the game was City playing a few local sides to help financially due to the collapse of the ITV football thing |

Poor old DB. With crowds below the break Evan figure, how is he supposed to give himself a pay rise? (He has bills to pay didn’t ya know) and please take a moment to spare a thought for his son who gloated when Dale got relegated. Things must be awful in the Bottomly household. Maybe we could start a crowdfunding campaign to help out @itsnevermeatfault |

Yeah it makes sense to keep away fans I’m the Wilbutts lane as you say due to been able to charge the maximum admission fee. I’m old Enough remember away fans in pearl st. But au always prefer Dale fans behind both goals |

Just for the record Im in favour of it due to how football in this country has evolved over the last 30 years or so. Most NL teams are now professional so much less of a quality gap between the two divisions |

I think the reason to limit away fans was either reducing the chance of flashpoints inside & outside, and making it more family friendly and let’s be honest here we want more home fans than away fans. Or it was about maximising our promotion prospects, limiting away fans to reduce chances of encouraging the opposition. But now we’re a league side, and promotion would of course be nice it’s not as important as getting out of the NL.
So be interesting to see what the clubs plans are for the foreseeable. As stated a couple of years ago, the owners want the club to be self sufficient within five years, so surely large away followings would be welcomed? Better stewarding & policing would surely allow for this. |

I think the increase in tickets for Scunny, is due to a legal requirement as it’s a ‘cup’ game as opposed to a league game. Dale would not willingly give more tickets than is required, as stated at a forum. Especially with so much at stake |

We’re all passionate about our team! Yes a 95th minute goal should decide it! But the game is not over. Stay off the F&@#*$G pitch. If you ran on, you let the whole club down, I would like to think we would have seen that through. But it galvanised the opposition and gave them a damn good reason to get a goal. Well done give yourself a pat on the back. |

It’s very unfortunate that so many folk miss out. But the arrangement is there for the right reasons. Keeping away fans from the touch line, Dale fans behind both goals is potentially advantageous. Maybe if we got bigger crowds all the time, we could use the willbutts. But we don’t so it’s not going to work as a one off. The spennymoor game was proof of why things are the way they are. Up the Dale! |
