Don’t, for one minute, believe that the ‘storm’ discharge is used purely for that purpose. Welsh Water equipment is generally antiquated due to pitiful investment.
Last summer in the Broughton/Whitford area there was raw sewage floating in with the tide. They denied that that the storm discharge had been activated, and couldn’t explain the cause.
If there ever was a case of re-nationalisation. |

It appears that Welsh Water have a storm overflow in Oxwich Bay, and according to their records was last discharged toward the end of June. Personally I don’t believe anything this company says, and am convinced that this was another discharge. |

Went there today with the dogs for a swim at high tide at about 6:00 pm. The water was a kind of oxtail soup brown with a bubbly scum on the surface and there was no way we were setting foot into that. I don’t know what is responsible but if I was a gambling man, my money is on Welsh Water.
I’ve never anything like it before, but has anyone on here? |
