Sadly not. Captaincy is the last thing Galbraith needs he’s already carrying half the team with him. No to Ben, we should have given it to Darling leaving or not. Tymon could be a dark horse or Stamenic but with Burgess in such awful form I’d contemplate dropping him for Casey or even Santos. |

How the hell do you know, they’ve hardly had any chances to play? And if that’s the case you must prefer the utter dog poo that was on display last night. The reason we get overrun is because we overplay in midfield , get turned over and our weak as per defence is not fast of skilful enough to prevent us leaking goals. If we were constantly threatening the opposition we wouldn’t have to defend so much. Widdell at 10 has strength and ability and in my opinion is our missing link. Yalcouye is full of energy and at least goes forward and he would make himself available unlike Cullen. Inoussa is one of our best ball players and simply needs a good run of games . Eom, Ronald and Cullen have had totally undeserved runs in the team for no good reason. It’s tile to give the new guys a chance and be patient with them - we don’t really have any other choice. |

Eom hardly delivers anything either. I’d start with him on the right, Inoussa on the left and Widdell at 10. God knows what he’s done to deserve not being picked in front of the entitled pointer Cullen. Franco is awful so get Yalcouye in - it might make for a lightweight midfield but when your heavyweight (Stamenic) goes backwards and doesn’t make one single forward pass it’s definitely worth a try. Burgess and Cabango - not working so play Casey with burgess for a few games and if it works keep it. Burgess to be captain in this period. January’s shopping list must include a very good right back, CB and possibly a dynamic 8 . |

I think the first 30-35 minutes of Matos ball knackered them out. They need some serious physical work. Cullen on loan agreed, offers nothing. Widdell should start in his place every time . |

All very fair and valid points. I just saw a picture of “our Vitor” with his arm around a smiling Ronald. That’s a sign in itself. We need to get the players enjoying their football again let’s hope for sunny dispositions all over the pitch starting tonight. |

Vipotnik by far our best striker - Widdell just has not had a fair crack of the whip. When I’ve seen him he definitely offers something different- directness and physical strength for starters. I hope Matos isnt one to pick Cullen at 10 again unless replacing a tiring Widdell. |

Also the majority know and respect Joe after playing with him last year and Leon has been in every division in the club. Add Curt and you’ve got the full set. I saw a picture of VM with his arm around a beaming Ronald on X just now - hopefully a good sign. A left field appointment it is but I’m praying it works out for him as if so we are back on the up. A new RB in the window and we are back in business although it will be a barometer if Key starts picking up form. 🤞 |

It’s better to travel by train 100% but unfortunately it’s way too expensive. I live in Bristol and for me to use the train to visit my mother in Swansea it’s around 45 pounds return as opposed to 20 pounds diesel back and forth. If it was 30 pounds I’d much prefer the train because driving home through the Newport section of the M4 is excruciating. |

So WTF is “goalkeeping god” Martin Margettson doing about it? One job, he’s only got one responsibility and that is to coach our admittedly very good keeper into an excellent keeper by ironing out these flaws?? |

Is it Dimi? Has he been given too much power behind the scenes? When Montague left there was a veiled accusation of “everyone needs to pull together” so he was at loggerheads with someone obviously.i hope the owners didnt show him the door because he wanted Hellberg instead of Sheehan, or didn’t want to appoint O’Dea or stood up to Dimi because if that’s the case we got rid of the wrong fella. |

Perhaps his pay off or failure clause will reflect the gamble |

Ah maybe. How long does that usually take? |

It’s a real pity that we kept Sheehans and dumped Montague. He had the know how we are now sorely lacking. If this goes tits up there will be some serious pain in the corridors of power. Sheehans compo, this guys release clause and if sacked his own compo will be a lot of money wasted and us maybe down a league. I really hope it works though and he’s successful a rough diamond and all that. |

Still no announcement from Boro unless it’s next Monday they are confirming Hellberg ? |
 | Forum Reply | who is picking the team? at 17:33 18 Nov 2025
It would be better if a home game but I think Casey will have no worries and I like the look of Samuel’s at left back. Will O’Dea play 5 at the back and include Santos if fit or will he tell them to attack with a 4-5-1 formation? It’s a shot to nothing for the caretakers so why not |
