Thanks for the comments, really interesting. I liked the idea of a hybrid to avoid range anxiety (and also like BlackAndGoldRanger, not sure if I would be diligent in charging it), but reassuring to hear MelakaRanger's views. Thinking of a Jaguar E-Pace, so only available as plug-in (or petrol/diesel). |

Looking to get a steer from those with knowledge of the above. I’m quite impressed by the torque/acceleration of PHEV’s, but….. do you only get that when the battery is charged up. E.g. with a 11.5 kWh / 1.5 litre engine, do you only get high performance in the first 30-odd miles before the battery discharges and then it reverts to the sort of acceleration you’d get from a normal 1.5l engine? Sorry for your loss John - but what lovely memories and a wonderful tribute. |

They've had a gruelling mid week extra-timer. We've had a week on the training ground. I think we've seen enough of this Rangers team over the last couple of years to predict who looks more leggy at the the weekend |

Done, thanks for sharing Brian. I guess Steve Cook’s not that uncommon a name but a very generous contribution either way! |

So sad - he was just the best. Many of us would’ve become Rangers fans anyway in the 70s, through geography or family connections. But Stan was the icing on the cake that made you so PROUD to support QPR and truly believe they were the finest football team the world has ever seen. RIP Stan 💙🤍💙 |

The way he let the ball run across him before shooting showed great confidence and composure- really encouraging |

Thanks for that - just started following it on Insta. Noticed that Ale Faurlin already follows it… could you love that man any more than you do already? [Post edited 16 Dec 2023 21:41]

Saw the Pogues quite a few times in the 80s - what a unique act they were and the gigs were charged with so much excitement. Amazing Shane lasted this long to be fair, but RIP Shane - thanks for the music and the memories. |

Already anticipating Clive putting up that smiling picture in 3-4 months time, next to an updated shot of him looking like Albert Steptoe. [Post edited 1 Nov 2023 8:51]

It’s got to be Warnock to the end of the season. Pretty sure we can’t afford to give out a 3 year contract to someone else and sack them in February when these players throw them under a bus. |

I tuned in to Radio 2 recently for the first time in ages, and started getting irritated by the bland pop shite they were turning out. Reminds me of Radio 1, I thought to myself. That’s when I realised - I’m too old for Radio 2 😱 Normally listen to Radio 6 or a big shout out for NME1 on Radio Player app. |

Thanks guys - yeah, I thought as it was in the 'grey area zone' the chips would be stacked against me. Will have a chat with them to notify them and see if there's scope for a claim. |
| Forum Thread | Insurance claim? at 07:32 22 Sep 2023
Seeking a little advice from this knowledgeable community please. I noticed last week that my front porch is starting to drop on one side - the supporting wooden beams are splitting. I got a builder round pronto who has put scaffolding up and says he'll take the tiles off the pitched porch roof to reduce the weight, and see where we go then. I had assumed it's just the pain in the arse / cost of home ownership but someone asked if I was going to claim on insurance. For those with knowledge in such things.... is it worth me trying the insurance company or would they say it's preventative maintenance and my responsibility? Or have I left it too late now the scaffolding's up? Many thanks in advance! |

Seeing how much they cheered when England kicked the ball out of play I think they’d all explode if they got a goal |
