Although not the challenge we might expect from this Saturday, I thought tonight would tell us a lot about the manager and the team. There seemed to be a lot of confidence on the board going in and I really hoped (yes that word) it could be justified.
Selection turned out to be quite level headed, no glaring mistakes or indulgences and I felt the team played with a confidence of a so far unbeaten side looking for their next win bouyed by an appreciation that they may actually have some class as a group.
The 4 subs changed the momentum but I can't really fault the decisions given the context of the week. In fact my chief concern was that they diminished the chances of Obikwu getting a run ;)
Apart from Winston, Joseph Hill (with the possible exception of Capleton and Bunny) is my fav. Reggae vocalist, and it seems to me that Cumbolo and its producer Sonia Pottinger are two completely underrated gems in this genre. This record burns two sevens for me.
Yep good effort but I'm annoyed that I missed out. I had this pencilled in for a while and then got busy this week so I've missed them going on sale.
I get updates from the club on whatsapp and just saw the sold out announcement, but there doesn't seem to be any announcement via that medium of tix going on sale.
Aside from looking up the club ticketing page, what are people using to get notifications of tix going on sale? Twitter is not an option :)
