Watch me rise up and leave, all the ashes you made out of me – Report
at 15:32:50

After all the pain you’ve endured and had to write about this season Clive, I’m really pleased we’ve all had the chance to read such a joyous report by you. Summed it all up perfectly.

It was my 65th birthday on Friday, couldn’t ask for a better present, especially under the lights and on Sky.

Not that John Jensen preview again – Preview

Clive, Rayan Kolli’s been unavailable for ages. Has the club said what’s wrong with him and when he’s due back? His last contribution that brilliant cross to the far post for Smyth to score seems a long time ago.

Brace for impact, QPR crash at Millwall - Report
at 13:23:08

Saffa if you travelled from the Isle of Wight to watch that, you should have a stand named after you. And if Marti can keep this bunch of players up, without January reinforcements, he’ll be a miracle worker.

Cifuentes influence undermined by familiar failings - Report
at 15:39:07

Thanks for another excellent report Clive.

Re the lack of pace, I’d like to see Smyth given a go on the left with Armstrong on the right. From what I’ve seen so far I don’t think Armstrong is a striker, think he’d be more effective as a winger.

Denham is spot on about our one footed players. I think it’s unforgivable that they can get so far as a pro and be incapable of using their weaker foot. If their other foot is that bad they should be paid half as much.

As good as we've got? Report

Thanks Clive yet again for hitting the nail on the head. I find it depressing enough going to all the home games so bow down to all of you putting up with it away week after week.

In the decision to rescind Begovic’s red card, why wasn’t Bamford then awarded a yellow for diving?

Rob Dickie’s M4 odyssey — Column
at 18:21:01

I think your point here is going to be a key problem this summer …

“Given that the train wreck of 22/23 has so far resulted in absolutely no changes to the management, board, recruitment team or business side of the company, it looks like it’s going to be the same people overseeing that massive overhaul.”

I cannot understand why no-one has either resigned or been sacked.

End of Term Report 22/23 — Attack
at 13:50:16

Spot on Clive with all your assessments (and for all of your excellent articles throughout the season). You deserve a medal from the club.

I completely agree with this … “ I’m genuinely surprised we haven’t seen some quite significant staff changes and departures at the end of this season. I can’t believe nobody’s resigned.”

Who is taking responsibility for what’s gone on and what on earth are the board doing about it?

Called to account - Preview

Clive thanks for explaining the accounts. Our financial position is desperate but, is it any worse than the clubs around us who have similar size grounds and attendances and who don’t have parachute payments? Do they also rely on their owners bailing them out each month?

Going, going… - Report
at 15:17:13

“QPR change managers all the time, and nothing ever really improves, because the manager is not the problem.”

What bugs me most is that under Warburton we did improve and, as I understood it, he didn’t want to leave. I know he also had bad runs but we seemed to be in a much better position before the board pulled the trigger.

Something about a massacre on February 14 - Report
at 15:43:09

I thought that all those years of being ashamed of our overpaid couldn’t care less players had gone. I was wrong. They may not be paid as much as Bosingwa and co but the attitude most of them showed stank and is completely unacceptable. And that’s without starting on rank incompetence.

Millwall deliver more pain, and a cautionary tale to woeful QPR - Report
at 13:46:54

What I don’t understand about us constantly losing possession from throw ins, is that it’s been going on for years and years when we had completely different players and managers. It’s like it’s a club tactic like losing every cup game.

Not in a disrespectful way, far from it - Column

Great article as ever Clive.

No-one’s perfect but it will be a miracle if we get a manager as effective and likeable and as good at improving players as MW. He also made it a joy to watch the team something we’ve sorely missed since Neil Warnock’s promotion team.

I think the board have made a huge error which we’ll all live to regret.

Out of the darkness cometh light - Report
at 13:42:40

Good report as always Clive and great to hear such support for MW, I hope the board take notice.

To your list of underused but committed players (Dozzell and Thomas), I’d add Dom Ball whose work rate and desire are second to none. I’d like to see him get some game time in the remaining games.

In case Lee and Sir Les are reading this I sincerely hope MW is still with us next season and for many more to come. He’s done more for the team and the club than anyone else for years and I can’t recall a manager improving individual players as much as he has since El Tel. We’ve chopped and changed managers repeatedly over the past 25 years yet how many have improved us as much as MW? Apart from IH and NW I can’t think of any.

Just wanted to add my tuppenceworth, your articles and podcast appearances are where I head first for what's going on and what it all means. You're doing yourself a big disservice saying you don't know what you're talking about. You talk more common sense than anyone else I hear or read about QPR and football in general. And to do it in such an entertaining way sets you head and shoulders above the rest. Thanks Clive.
PS I go along with the book suggestion above, I'd love to read it.

Zamora’s freakish late show seals win at Boro — report
at 13:43:37

"A ground with more empty seats than supporters, and atmosphere akin to an old morgue. It’s another one for the case file on what we don’t want QPR to end up playing in under any circumstances." I hope TF takes notice before he signs his name on the 40,000 seater stadium he dreams of. It will be a nightmare for us.

Excuses stack up as Wednesday expose some home truths — report
at 14:39:14

Thanks Clive, especially liked the "bloody miles offside" comment about BZ and the "arm around the shoulder" re the steward.

There is so much wrong, not just with the team, but with the whole club that I'd accept several/many years in this league if it meant getting back to a team with the spirit that Ollie built. A team with proper QPR players and one where youngsters are brought through and given the chance.

One of Warnock's moves was to clear out the vast number of loan players he inherited. As you said Clive, HR hasn't just completed the dismantling of our last great team but unbelievably he's got it into his head that you can succeed with almost an entire team of loan players.

Late heartbreak for Hill as QPR continue to stutter - report
at 13:41:41

Clive, in your preview you spoke of our blip. I think the blip was at the start of the season when we kept clean sheets, nicked a lot of 1-0 wins and coincided with McClaren's presence on the training ground.

What we're seeing now is what we are - a middle of the table team. Before the season I feared we'd do a Wolves. I think the reason we haven't, is because there are many poor teams in the division.

Credit to HR for clearing out the overpaid mercenaries we had last season but his replacements may not be as costly (???) but overall they're no better, they're not a team and, to me, they are not QPR.

McClaren's superior prep leaves Redknapp facing questions — report
at 13:13:51

I thought McClaren was harshly treated at the end of his England reign. He provides exactly what we need, a coach who can set up his team and work with them through the week to improve them. I've no idea what HR's huge back room staff do, it's certainly nothing to do with coaching and I can't think of any of our players who they've improved. Forget about signing players TF, it's the coaching you need to focus on.

Newcastle benefit from Bosingwa’s trial by terrace — full match report
at 15:21:02

With his inexplicable team selections, derogatory comments about the team, passing the blame, lack of enthusiasm and encouragement on the touchline and hopelessly late substitutions, I'm beginning to wonder if HR is trying to get himself sacked. He'll then be able to clear off with a nice payoff.

Clive, your reports are always spot on. Your comment about Townsend playing on the right in particular. It drives me nuts to see him there week after week when it makes his play so predictable.

There's so much wrong on the pitch (which we all seem to see), why can't HR and his massive coaching team see it all?

I'm afraid to say that if HR is gone this summer, I won't be at all bothered.
