This is a very interesting read.
at 16:22 29 Mar 2023

This will probably my last post on here (some say good riddance), but this article can easily be edited to QPR, Tony Fernandes, Old Oak Common, Premier League, Championship, League1 and of course Les Ferdinand the Director of Failures.

I won't bother coming back on here to read any comments.

Can't say I was a fan of him as Lily Savage, but RIP to a good and caring man.

In early 2010 QPR were on an awful run and I recall protests against the owners, Briatore and Ecclestone. These protests led to Briatore stepping aside and putting Bhatia in charge who in return appointed Warnock as manager,

The club were on a similar downward spiral having been highflying in October under Magilton.

Some obviously don’t agree, but there is far too much apathy now and maybe protests are needed otherwise the club will continue to slide. Ferdinand will stay in post and carry on earning a good salary for directing the club towards L1. He won’t go voluntarily but needs to go and the owners could do a lot worse than appointing Warburton to replace him.

You're right Huddersfield were cheated out of the Premier League by dodgy VAR decisions.

Paul, I stated my reasons in my email to the club that it was a protest at Ferdinand and Hoos. It had nothing to do with last night's result not even this season, but more the last 9 seasons since Ferdinand was given the position of Head of Football Operations and later Director of Football.

I am hoping he goes in the summer.

Leg room non existent and view is a pillar blocking the last 3rd of the penalty area.

Paul, this isn't about last night but the direction under Ferdinand and Hoos.

Any other DoF and the fans would have been calling for him to be sacked. Ferdinand isn't or shouldn't be untouchable and I really don't understand why fans aren't calling for him to go. He sacks the managers and coaches he hires because they don't have the team challenging for promotion, yet no one on the Board seems to question him.

The point is that those two clubs got into the play offs whilst we have barely got into the top half.

I have been bringing my kid to watch (even though a Man U fan) and there's no chance of converting watching the dross that has been on offer for much of this season.

It isn't a reaction to last night, but more over the last 8 seasons or so since Ferdinand returned to the club. The last 4 months have been about the worst that I have ever seen and don't want to spend my afternoons watching the club's demise anymore.

He said he wanted to take the club back to where they used to be, but I didn't think he meant back to the 1960s in the 3rd tier of football! He is dragging this club down.

This season started well (but most of us knew the squad was inadequate) and it was largely down to the form of Willock, Chair and one or two others like Johansen & Field that they got into the top 6.

He doesn't have a blueprint or it seems any real plan how to deal with getting this club on a sound footing and lurches from one managerial appointment to another and constant squad rebuilding.

Season ticket cancellation

I have just sent an email cancelling my direct debit for next season.

I have included my reason in which I have sent a message about the running of the club by the failure of a Director of Football and the role of Lee Hoos.

8 seasons of failing to make even the top 8 let alone the playoffs whilst thee Ed likes of Huddersfield Barnsley and Luton have. I am sick of listening to their excuses about finances and the stadium. They have failed and keep sacking and appointing new managers/head coaches , rebuilding the squad and getting nowhere.
I have asked they bring that to the attention of the Chairman.

I just received a reply saying sorry you do not wish to renew your season ticket and thanks for letting us know.

I wonder if any other fans will be cancelling or at least letting the club know their views on Ferdinand and Hoos’ running of the club over the last 8 seasons.

If we do nothing then we cannot expect to see anything different as we carry on with mediocre seasons and their pathetic excuses when clubs like Huddersfield Barnsley Luton
Brentford Bournemouth make the playoffs and premier league.

Ainsworth Post Match
at 08:10 15 Mar 2023

If he really believes in what he said then I think he is delusional.

I haven’t seen any of it - nor do I plan to - but it sounded a truly shocking performance from most of the players. Hoofball 2 has returned. The midfielders barely touched the ball it seems. We can’t expect to pick up many points playing this way.

I feel sympathy for him (as I did to some extent for Critchley) as there are so many players out injured. Critchley at least had the use of Chair and Willock, Ainsworth doesn’t. One more game before a much needed international break and hopefully getting some players back in the match day squad. Let’s see what kind of football he chooses to play if the likes of Paal, Laird, Chair , Willock and maybe JCS or Balogun are available.

How do we come back from this ?
at 07:57 15 Mar 2023

This is true, but I won’t hold out any hopes that Ainsworth will change the way he wants his team to play. I haven’t checked but believe he was part of the old Wimbledon team before MK Dons were formed.

Morale is at rock bottom and the club has half a squad of sick notes, is trained by coaches who have failed to get the players fully fit and prone to muscular injuries.

Will it get better, I doubt it. The teams at the bottom will gradually make up the points deficit and we still have to play Birmingham and go back to the NW to play Wigan and later on to play Burnley (joy of all joys there then).

To bring on who?
We have no defenders fit to play ( thanks in no small part to lousy recruitment).
And no one on the bench is likely to make any impact in our attacking play.

They have been defending corners poorly for about the last 6 seasons if not longer.

Appalling performance in the north west as usual. I seriously don’t know how QPR even have any fans bothering to go up there , especially in midweek during the winter months and even more so to watch such a pathetic team.

They are not and Teflon Les is unsackable . The only way he is going is if the fans start chanting Les out and bring in banners with those words on them. However, he is a playing legend the eyes of most fans it seems and they won’t turn on him. Anyone else would have been hounded out years ago.

So much for not losing to the sides below us. Well at least Birmingham are losing.

Some valid points there, these tactics might have been needed against e
Watford, but I would not like to see us playing nasty football like the old Wimbledon just to win games.

We have some good footballers at QPR and whilst it may be that the likes of Willock and Chair will be sold in the summer I would hate to see them replaced with players suited to nasty gritty football that is hard to watch.

Cutting out the unnecessary passes amongst the defenders and instead getting the ball forward more quickly is good, but in my view we need to still play a more pleasing style.

I agree it is important to avoid a defeat and maintain a 10 point gap. QPR are very difficult to predict, but one bet that does look likely is a Josh Bowler goal. So a 1-1 draw it is.

He could have tried Kakay in the back 3 as Laird was fit.
Also could have kept Masterson
