Most OVER/UNDER RATED Band/Solo Artist /Football Team
at 08:00 10 Sep 2026

overrated band = any of and all of the reality TV manufactured shite; but of those classed as 'real' bands then Coldplay, the middle class home counties dinner party band of choice. Every song seems to have Mr Martin going woowooowooowwoohooo through a chorus where other songwriters put actual words

overrated solo artist - Michael Jackson, was all about the writers, producers & videos. Off The Wall was a great album, but lets face it, he's not a patch on Prince for overall talent

underrated artist - countless acts that never get the credit i felt they deserved when a sea of untalented shite seems to prevail in modern music, particularly in the charts

overrated team - The Scum - bought success with dirty Oligarch money & special mention to World Cup winners Wet Spam; basking in the glory of 4 players from the mid 60s for 60 years now.

underrated team - Palace & Brighton (they'll love being thrown together) for punching above weight consistently, but more so Brighton for extracting hundreds of millions off the scum over the years

As for The Beatles, never a fan but considering their relatively short career together compared to others, the output and impact on music is incredible........ still don't nor ever will own any though

had a similar thing when my then 83 year old dad answered the phone. by then he wasn't always playing with a full deck, and mum intercepted the call assuming it was a scam....

there followed a lovely chat with Andy, ringing around all the elderly ST holders; a really lovely touch from him and the club.

The NHS is something to cherish; having had numerous family members including myself make good use of their service

as for out Ted, keep up the fight and I hope the drugs are good ones; sending hugs buddy

Ted

I'd missed this thread as I'm rarely here these days.

Devastated to hear this news for you, the Mrs and the boys. Having been to a few games with you I can confirm to all that you are just such a sound and lovely guy, the online persona is just as you are in the flesh.

My best ever QPR day, at Wembley, was spent with you and the boys and my dad and will forever be a great memory to cherish. I even recall meeting in the co-op car park in Newbury to collect tickets.

Sending, for whatever it's worth, a massive hug buddy

Stuart

Dolly Parton RIP
at 07:11 26 Aug 2026

that's very sad. not a fan of the musical genre but her ability as a songwriter and performer cannot be questioned....

on top of that appears to have been a wonderful human being, full of kindness and generosity. Definitely lost one of the good ones..... RIP Dolly

RIP Kenny, no age at all

such an important, if not high profile due to Holloway being the headline act, part of the resurrection of this club's fortunes.

gave us some great times following the club as part of that unlikely brilliant double act.

West Ham v Arsenal
at 07:15 11 May 2026

this is what boils my pish the most, the differential to fouls in the box compared to outside, along with fouls by strikers compared to defenders.

corners have been a joke for years, but ultimately yesterday the keeper is being fouled twice, so it was bound to be ruled out by VAR......

i can still remember to my amazement the amount of fouls Stoke used to get away with at corners, so it's nothing new.

games gone!

The rules of Road Runner – Report
at 11:27 13 Jan 2026

fab report Clive, i'm off now to watch some old school cartoons on you tube!

I've already sent my commiserations to my Wet Spam mate for having to endure that shitehole every other week.

they really did sell their soul to the devil when they did the lease deal on the running track pretending to be a football stadium. It has NO redeeming features whatsoever. regardless of financial incentive i will never return there again; box ticked on the list of stadia attended and file closed on Westfield 2

at 21:30 20 Oct 2025

was at Elland Road that day, my Sunday team had 3 Dirty lids fans and a few R's, so 2 cars went up there.

at 2-0 down after about 20 minutes I was ready to head home; Leeds were battering us. Then that goal and Ray pulling the strings...... what a great day out that was

Think of a footballer that doesn’t like running…
at 16:08 10 Sep 2025

pretty typical act in the sport to save the horse for another race, improve it's handicap or because you're backing something else. Another tactic is to race it over the wrong type of ground or distance knowing it will never win.

feel sorry for the jockey if he's being threatened, although its not anything unusual in this sport to stop a horse; just need to be good at it!

Taylor Richards gone…thank god.
at 09:03 2 Sep 2025

I think that is being very generous towards Mr Richards.

Never appeared to attempt to get fit, dicked around on loan, 183 different minor muscular injuries and general attitude appears to be appalling. If he'd played, put in a shift, but just wasn't very good, then the feelings towards him might be very different

he may have mental health issues but given his contract, salary and supposed love of the club he has done very little to endear himself to anyone associated with the club

at 08:11 18 Jul 2025

cheers Tom

i'd forgotten about that match...

yep; sat in silence amongst the home crowd for the FA Cup match. Then the old dear sat behind called Salomon Kalou a 'useless f***ing w*g!' to the great amusement of those sat around us; typical classy Scum fan supporting her own!

couldn't wait to leave; not 1 of our best ideas
