Not at the final but I went to the Mexico game. Stood behind the goal for Charlton’s thunderbolt! |

Presumably they will need a new nickname. Hardly Saints any more. Obviously the Sinners from now on. |

Actually I’m mainly with Dave! Barring the Bennie foul decision, I thought he got most right and was usually in very good positions to judge. |

Just finished my £3 worth. Actually enjoyable, though no commentary meant guess work on who was who. Entertaining game. We won 2-0 in the end. What was unusual was the view from the S Africa road side. I like the look of our Swedish youngster who scored the first goal and was constantly involved. |

I’ve had one for a few years and it’s pretty good..but we did need a new boiler and our village doesn’t have gas, so had been oil. I’d give a thumbs up, but depends on individual circumstances of course. I actually found this thread more useful than any other source..which is great testament to the quality of discourse on this admirable site! |

We were the end where the teams came out, where all the goals were scored. I assume the support was near enough 50/50. |

I was there. Absolute magic. Was brought up on a diet of QPR thanks to my dad who took me to games from the age of about 4. Mainly youth team games..because of the crowds ( !?) with occasional treats to see the first team..one game at White City. Started going to all the home games in 1965..so Rangers were my first love in my early teens. I feel blessed to be part of such a great club in so many ways, but it’s the joy of meeting others with the same affliction that’s the best bit..like on here and so many other places. As for that day..I always thought we would win ( helped being the best team in division 3 by a mile) plus some brilliant nights under the lights in earlier rounds. I did a write up ( my own version of Clive!) which helped me win the English prize at school, beating luminaries such as Michael Portillo! ). I’ve still got it..perhaps a nostalgic read is called for? Rodneeeeee Rodneeeee etc. |

Did anyone else fork out £3 to watch? Seemed like a nice idea but oh dear oh dear. And we lost. I think. Score was wrong for much of the second half and a bit like watching last years game v Leicester much was a mystery. Should have been free. |

Thinking about it, 8 minutes was right. Felt odd because there was very little time wasting. |

I actually think there’s huge potential here. I really like the clever touches and flicks. Obviously helps that he scored the one he did..by the way, that was a really good finish, but the cheeky flick over the keeper would have been awesome..and great fun. Personally would love to see more like yesterday. |

Agreed It’s annoyed me for ages that some other clubs routinely show these games but we don’t. An excellent way to assess the prospects. |

Watched last nights game with a Forest supporting mate. He (sort of) wanted Wolves to Nick it so that Dykes would be gone. Forest missed loads of chances, but, my goodness Wolves were awful. I rarely watch Premier league but I haven’t seen a worse team than Wolves in any of our games. Giving the ball away countless times in own half. On one occasion two players went for same ball, knocked each other over, missed it leaving 6 Forest players against 1. They still messed it up. No threat from Wolves next season! |

I was actually worried about the impact this thread could have on any potentially vulnerable Rangers fans who post on here. Of course “ ignore” is one answer, but there’s another. There’s a new thread today which is obviously going to cause upset…the title makes it clear. My advice? Check it out, down vote unless you agree but don’t add to the thread. That way views are expressed without the need for unpleasantness. |

Whilst I definitely agree with the message in this thread..I’m a little concerned that a fellow Rangers fan could feel so vilified and isolated as a result of reading this thread. It’s clear as day who this is aimed at, but I sense a need to try to be as understanding and tolerant as possible. I think we all need a bit of space and a few apologies wouldn’t be amiss. A good result..and respectable performance tonight would surely help a reset and we won’t have to press any ignore buttons. |
 | Forum Reply | Stoke fans on QPR (whose side are you on?) at 17:57 18 Jan 2026
I actually thought that was a really good performance under the circumstances. Whilst I don’t much like the tactic of possibly ( probably?) feigning injuries in order to break up play, consult coaches etc, seems to me this is pretty much the norm. Do I like us doing it? No, obviously, but it’s a pragmatic response to our situation. As far as Stoke? Their problems are none of our business, as, frankly, is their message board, which has a range of responses, I imagine, including those quoted. No, I wouldn’t want this to be our norm…..and I’m pretty sure it won’t be. Instead, let’s focus on the positives..battling performance from our stalwarts at the back and a pretty good showing from Waish again. |
