13 goals scored away. only bristol city have scored more away in the entire league..and they have played two more games. Reflection of how we play . . . away.
Oh for some. more goals at home. KH will be working on that.
Simply brilliant result, can't find words other than to say I hope Tanse, Vince and Dawse are all ok, the latter two read as though they were injury subs.
Can only imagine the pandemonium in the away end when the winner went in!
Absolutely unreal result on quite a poignant night that marked the 10 year anniversary of the death of a much loved Daley.
I didn't manage to get down there but my brother travelled, and it's given us a great night to remember our dad for what he loved the most, watching the Dale. Well done Hilly and the lads for a great result and to the fans who made the journey! :) One of the best wins on paper for a long time.
One of my first ever games. Never thought I'd see a video of it!
Good performance last night. Their first goal was against the run of play and we lost it a bit after that. However, we should have had one or two ourselves in the first half. In the second half we looked reasonably comfortable after we went 2-1 up, but after they equalised they put enormous pressure on us, though we nearly picked them off on the counterattack a few times. Our winner was definitely against the run of play at the time, but who cares! Logan made a couple of fantastic saves in the last 10 minutes, so credit to him for the win as much as the goalscorers.
Our fullbacks had a bit of a torrid time, especially in the last 20 minutes. Tanser wasn't injured - he came off because he wasn't doing well against their winger. Rose got a very bad reception when he came on. He must have some history with Swindon.
We should have beaten Gillingham and probably deserved a draw rather than a win last night, so 4 points from the two games is fair enough.
The best team won on the night. They missed two sitters, had a game plan, worked harder and defended better. The linesman should be put to grazing, don't know which care home they got him from. Some games we can moan but sometimes we need to hold our hands up, they are not near the top for being rubbish, like Barnsley. Two out standing saves by there keeper near the end, but has I've said before you can't play for 45 mins every game and expect to win them all
We just never really got going and they looked dangerous whenever they attacked - Wes made a stupendous save first half and then they missed a sitter when it looked easier to score soon afterwards. The warning signs were there first half but we didn't seem to take enough notice. Gladwin/Rogers/Bell were weak links in the team quite apart from our poor set-piece defending. Rochdale were very well organised, played some good football and broke at speed in numbers. I still thought we might nick it at the end before Rochdale scored their winner because we were carving out some reasonable chances. These things are going to happen but still a very disappointing night. Back to earth with a bump.
We were all disappointed by last night`s result but although credit has to be given to an efficient Rochdale side , I reckon they had all the luck that was going. I`ll go a bit further and say that Rochdale could well be a dark horse and a reasonable bet for at least the playoffs.
We were shapeless from the start against a well drilled strong side. Kasim was wasted in that position. I know it's deemed sacrilege these days but with the players we had available I thought we'd have been better off playing 4-4-2, with Luongo and Kasim in the middle. We need to be more flexible and adaptable to suit the circumstances, otherwise we're a one trick pony and all our opponents are well aware of the trick. We did have our moments last night. Luongo did well before fading - probably one of his most committed performances for us. Byrne sparkled but often made the wrong decision. Overall it was huff and puff with no structure though. I wouldn't begrudge Rochdale the points.
with the Dale producing such pathetic away results in recent weeks surely it's about time we got out of this current 'slump' away from home and asked Flicker what the secret is

“We have embarrassed the football club tonight, but we will stick together and make sure we will get it right because we will find a formula, there is no doubt about that.
“We will just have to see whether that is from within the dressing room or via some outside influences."
