How many league 1 or 2 clubs would sell out an end that holds 3500 for a mid day kick off on a sunday at rochdale in a televised game costing £22? Maybe sheff utd out of the 48 clubs who get 20k at home, we average under 4k home fans, Why would anyone think/ suggest we would sell out? We'll still have a good following but pay on day and a more reasonable £15 would have seen close to 3k away fans, its hypothetical now i know but this will put a lot of people off coming to the game, i would say around a quarter of the crowd who attend rochdale bury games, neither club is there first team they see it as a good fixture and come along with friends. A good chunk of people will just watch the game in the pub which is shame.
Cup runs attract floating fans who may return. This was the prefect opportunity with television money both clubs will receive to attract more people to the game. | | | |

Shame Dale & Bury haven't agreed to lower ticket prices. Crowd today shows that TV shouldn't neccesarily mean a low crowd (for our standards any way). Priced as the Swindon game was we could have had a good 6,5k I reckon. |  |

Bloody Roy Capey, if you think refs are bad now you should have seen Capey. Denied a clear cut penalty at 3-1, they went down the other end and he gave them a penalty. Drew 3-3 and the rest , as they say is history. |  |
