Earlier today, I browsed a few messageboards from the Championship to see what they predict for this season.
The highest anybody had us finish was 15th. And that was only one person. There were a few 16ths, but mainly 18th-21st. One had us to be relegated.
I actually like the idea that we’re going into the season very much under the radar. I think we’ll do much better than those predictions.
FWIW, I think Stoke will win it. Sheffield Utd are a great e/w bet @ 28/1.

It's too much change at once. Also if teams just defend hard against us, I am not sure we have the capability to unlock them. I also suspect when we go a goal down I do not see how we can get one back.

I was at the game yesterday and although a friendly was well impressed with the new look team who have already to some extent jelled and played some lovely stuff at times.
It may take more time and we need the strikers to work but I am optimistic and will go for a top half finish. Warbs said in his programme notes how well he remembers watching the Sexton style and wants to try and play the same way, should be a fun season! |  | | |
