But at the end of the day we got offered £7 mill for Freeman last summer by Boro - and turned that down - or have I got that wrong?

Papers said it was a £5m offer from Blackburn and also from Boro. We turned them down. They then waited to see if QPR would blink, we did not. So, Boro was about to come back with £6M, but the transfer window shut just in time.
I suspect the club would have sold. Now that Leeds are sniffing about he could go for £8M as 3 clubs have shown interest.
Then there is always a promoted side who may want a cheap option (on wages) should they get relegated from the promised land on the first go. And have to come back down to the evil FFP land.
