I’ve just started watching the Wycombe game and both linesmen are on the same side of the pitch. Is that because of the low sun?Is it even allowed?Ignore that as it’s a sub warming up in a yellow fluorescent bib.
Listened to the game, myself another Londoner and a couple of Americans, we enjoyed it.
Indeed a shame that Oxford and Wycombe fans cannot do the gladiatorial thing at Wembley. Actually as they’d be travelling the same roads / trains and buses, it’s probably fortuitous for Buckinghamshire and the north western approaches they’re not.
Come on Wycombe.Do what we failed to do in that ghost final 34 years ago, allegedly.I’d feel sorry for Mackie, but not for the rest of those yellow shirted w@nkers.
I've always quite liked him. He's got a bad reputation for some reason probably through association with Franchise FC? Having a broad Scouse accent? I've never really got it.

I like him, really good manager but hope Wycombe stuff them in the final
Cheers mate.I know that linesmen could stand on either wing in the olden days, but now they’re always on the left back side of the pitch.I saw a bloke in yellow and wrongly assumed he was the linesman.
Most of us DO stand at left back, but there is the odd, odd! referee who prefers to operate with ARs om right backs.
Obviously , although nothing in the laws to prevent this, you won't see it at any level above semi professional.

Cheers PP.I thought it was a law rather than being up to the referee.I suppose they get used to run diagonally from box to box and it would change their view of the game if they had to alter that aspect.

Always best to double check when being so certain!
Just have and nothing in the basic laws, beyond saying what the AR is there for - ball in/out of play/offsides etc - basic, obvious stuff.
Even in the attached 'Guidelines' to the laws, the only MUST stipulated is that AR should be positioned in line with 2nd last defender - again pretty obvious. The diagrams DO show the ARs at 'left back' but there is nothing to stipulate that is where they have to be.
Sorry to the 99.99999% of you to whom this is if NO interest whatsoever!

One of my best mates is an MK Dons fan and has been taking his family to games for years. Based on what he has told me, Robinson is a good egg, friendly and patient, always willing to spend time with the fans and to have a chat, with no ego.
"Things had started becoming increasingly desperate at Loftus Road but QPR have been handed a massive lifeline and the place has absolutely erupted. it's carnage. It's bedlam. It's 1-1."
