Other than eating and drinking. 14:24 - Sep 22 with 2195 viewsqpr_1968

During these pandemic times, has anyone taken up any other hobbies/sport/stamp collecting.
who's got fitter and who's got fatter.
who's got richer and who's got poorer.

i'm classed as a key worker so nothing has changed, but i do miss going down to watch my beloved r's home and away.

Poll: how many games this season....home/away.

What’s a chin up?

It is what my wife usually says when I come back from QPR

THE GOOD STUFF:-

Walking - been keen on for last 12 years, 6 months of WFH has allowed me to walk my dogs every single day which I have loved.

Dogs - as above, I've been really glad to be at home with them especially considering the eldest lab is 12 yrs old now.

Drinking & Eating - never had so many midweek drinks since I was 25. Been able to eat more than usual as well due to constant BBQ'ing.

Music - been able to listen to loads of music of my choice all day every day. Plenty in my office and on my sites that don't appreciate the wonders of Release Radio and the genres played so glad to have had my ears open.

Football - not being able to go to R's games has saved me a load of misery and a fair bit of dosh. Managed to fill my days with other more productive stuff (so says my wife).

Most of the above has all been possible due to the extended good weather we've had, if we'd have had a washout spring and summer then I think the whole thing would have had a very different complexion.

THE BAD STUFF:-

Have pushed my left foot into a position my right one was in 18 months ago and likely to need an operation on it and a plate put in as I did just over a year back.

Put on a bit of weight.... counteracted by taking up yoga recently

Spent a load of money on home drinking

Football - gutted I missed out on Euro2020 having had tickets and planning this as extended birthday celebrations. Have missed going to the R's but mainly due for seeing my mates; the streams are more than annoying

Socialising - was going to be a BIG year this year with lots of our mob turning 50..... all turned to shoite and really, really gutted about that; would've been even better with this weather. The dogs and the wife are great company but.....

Biggest kicker for me has been the minimal and distant contact with my parents. Hated it.

As we move into Lockdown Lite and Winter it's going to be a different ball game.
I'm determined to a) Learn to cook and b) get back into a bit of DJ'ing

Cherish and enjoy life.... this ain't no dress rehearsal

ive taken up guitar... I'm on my 11th song

I got reacquainted with my bass guitar this year. Subscribed to the Tabs app from UltimateGuitar.com–thousands of songs transcribed. I then play along with songs on my stereo. Simon Gallup of the Cure is my hero, so I'm trying to learn as many of their songs as I can. "Fascination Street" is still a blast to play all these years later. One night I knocked out a "setlist" of 24 songs. Gave me renewed appreciation for Simon's stamina at his age, given that a typical Cure setlist is that many songs plus another 8-10 tunes, and he moves around the stage nonstop.
