Really not sure why he started Carroll on the left, was Warbs that concerned about Preston's rapier-like attack? Were neither Adomah nor Willock fit enough to start?
Actually I thought he brought Adomah on with plenty of time left, problem was within two minutes of that we conceded the second penalty. |  |

But with Preston time is of the essence because they burn so much of it. They killed almost 3 mins with the ball being kicked about twice with a sub, “cramp”, then another sub on 70. They began the antics on the half hour mark. If you’re behind AND playing badly you cannot delay changing things against them. Whilst we had a decent first 20, after they scored we fell apart. Half time required some subs.
Adomah needs to start. He looks class in terms of his touch and reading of the game. If Warbs wants to play Chair he has to drop one of Cameron, Ball or Carroll. And really should be one of the first two. | | | |

On the time wasting we didn't help ourselves at times, you can have balls ready on the side ready for quick throw ins but we needed up having to climb in the stands looking for the ball on our own throw in wasting as much time as they were. Mind you could have played an extra hour and I don't think we'd have scored. |  | | |
