Never a cub or scout was in the Woodcraft Folk when a kid, very much like the Scouts through weekly meets earning badges for achieving various tasks, camping of course but generally a good time had by me and my street urchin mates.

Strangely enough, this is a lot like my memories too.
I was one of the woodcraft Folk, who with the benefit of hindsight, were probably a bit more hippie-ish than the scouts.
We had some french exchange students come over and I actually fell in love with a girl called Martine Dhiver, who after all this time, probably won't mind me telling everyone that I fingered her behind the huts at our local school. She bought me David Bowie's Life on Mars single and I genuinely cried when she went home.
After that point it all went to sh--t, and i was eventually banned and sent home after setting the aforementioned huts on fire and falling through the roof.
Halcyon days though....
