Agree with that. 'Disintegration' is the only album I listen to of theirs.
Have you tried Kiss Me x3 Brian ?
A Double album, released after their Standing on a Beach compilation, possibly at their ‘pop’ high point. Quite a few catchy highlights from the original 18 tracks. Things got much darker after as they began work on their ‘Masterpiece’. Anyway, worth a try.

Ya, I have qpr1976. I've always been a big fan of theirs.
Kiss Me has a lot of great tracks on it, I agree, but I'm choosy about albums as I don't think great albums have any filler and there's definitely a bit of filler on Kiss Me.

I must confess to really liking Three Imaginary Boys, but then dipping in and out of their stuff and tending find the singles more accessible than most of the stuff on the next 3 albums. Actually won a Time Out competition to attend a launch of the album Show which was held I think at the Mermaid Theatre. Still got the T Shirt for that in my draw, I think the CD and video are somewhere in the garage boxed up with my vinyl collection.

Three Imaginary Boys is a great album including the brilliant 10.15 on a Saturday Night.
I was fortunate enough to see them many times as they often supported the Banshees on their tours. In the end we enjoyed the warm up as much as the main event as we got to know the tracks.

Probably my second favourite Cure album. 10.15 is a belter of a track.

Discovered The Cure 1978 when The Ruts supported them. Had some friends who got me into the ruts and attending London gigs.
The Cure one of my favorite bands. A forest and play for today favorite songs and Pornography is a phenomenal record and my go to. Saw them in Maryland last US tour and played for 3 hours.
Interesting to me that there were two types of fans there. The atmospheric cure fans and the more famous commercial poppy song cure fans. They didn’t like the broody stuff. Shake dog shake blew me away. Was not a huge fan of love cats but still good compared to the shyte like level 42 and Duran Duran being shoved down our throats. So much crap music around then and bands like The Cure Were a breath of fresh air.
I think Robert said at the gig, now for the pop songs as they ran through them. Gallup had a reading flag over his base amp as well.
The Cure a major part in life and discovering robot shoes, Camden and Kensington markets
I used to hate the Cure when I was younger but as others have played more obscure tracks over the years I've realised some of their stuff was pretty good.
I wouldn't buy an album though.

Nooooooo Brian. 17 Seconds, Faith and Pornography are superb albums. In particular, Faith. "There's nothing left but faith" - it's obvious he's an R's fan, sums up a lot of what supporting the R's has been about most seasons.
I used to be a huge Cure fan in the mid to late eighties. Still listen to the early couple of albums and Fire in Cairo is my seven year old’s favourite song
Also, A Forest is the only song I can play the baseline too so we’ll always have that.
