Nice to hear from him after all these years. Quite some interesting stories although I only caught the last 20 minutes.
He was discussing his time at QPR with Trevor Sinclair. Interesting how many different perspectives you get of that post Premier League relegation period. He reckoned when he and Spencer arrived they were pretty sure they'd go up but the loss of Sinclair to West Ham was a big part of the reason why that didn't happen. I'm not so sure, wasn't that the following season and QPR were totally under performing by then anyway?
He was saying that he couldn't believe Trev didn't bring that ball down against Barnsley and tee him up for his second goal and how his first goal in that match was actually one of his best but no one remembers it...
A lot of religious stuff and he's peddling his new book.

Fine to make up your own mind but I think it's pretty weird and I'm offended.
Doesn't make him an awful person but in my view he has strange opinions.
Yeh just glanced over the link you posted. It's doesn't make good reading that's for sure. I still think calling him an absolute wrongun is harsh. Opinionated is probably too lenient on him. I dunno, he's not going to convert me that's for sure but he's not the only one with those opinions, in fact you could write off the Muslim, Jewish and most Christian faiths if you don't agree with his outlook. They all pretty much endorse this view (not all as in individuals though). Peacock does come across a bit angry about it all. Not really Jesus's style is it?. After all (if you believe) God gave us free will and to show love to all. Doesn't come across like that in Peacocks musings. Anyway, were bordering on the self imposed politics and religion talk ban. Lol. Never ends well does it. :)

I don't believe in what he preaches. What's more, I have no belief in any God so I don't believe that there is a God-given truth that I'm wrong to ignore.
But I have lots of extremely religious friends, some of them with similar beliefs to Peacock. Not only are they really decent people, but they genuinely believe that the rules that they hold dear to their heart would make the World a better place if only people like me would settle down and listen.
So, while I don't get any of what Peacock preaches, I can well believe that he means well (then again, as Spike Milligan said, "Hitler meant well, too").
Now, Hoddle thinking that my handicapped sister lived in pain and died too young because she was "paying for her sins in a past life"...well, I have no words for that.
"The opposite of love, after all, is not hate, but indifference."
He can talk bollox all he likes but as a player for us, very ordinary. One decent game usually followed by four anonymous ones. Memories tend to recall just the highlights.
