The problem is that their are many situations where by the letter of the law you could give a yellow card, but they let many of them go as otherwise you'll end up playing 7 a side. The amount of times Man City foul an opposition player after losing the ball to prevent a break without getting a yellow card is ridiculous.

yes, very ironic of Gerrard and co to bemoan the penalties awarded against their now smaller teams (welcome to our world).

I agree that the penalties were very soft but think that the 1st handball claim from Man City was a penalty as the defender leant towards the ball to hit it with his upper arm.
