Taken for granted as part of the game now but didn't exist at all when I started watching football.
Although we've benefitted from some loans I've never really liked the system as it can distort competition with some clubs better able to access loans than others.
Is it just me ?

if you limited on the number of players you can loan out same as the ones you can loan in that might have an impact in stopping clubs signing so many players with a view of getting loan fees for them |  | | |

Loan fees should be illegal full stop.
If you've signed a senior player and he's not going to be in your squad, you shouldn't be fiscally rewarded for that mistake.
If it's a young player and they are on loan to get game time and improve as a player you shouldn't need to be fiscally rewarded for that either, it's a mutual benefit to both the loaning and loaner club anyway |  | | |

It's ridiculous how clubs like the one up the road built on corrupt money, are allowed to stock pile players. Think they often have 20 or more players out on loan. That is nonsense. But the law makers are in these clubs pockets, so not much we can do. The idea above is the most sensible way around it, but don't hold your breath when it comes to sensible ideas. | | | |

I am guessing but didn't the Scumski have 40 players out on loan once?
Anyway, I remember us having Paul Walsh on loan and it was so, successful that he was withdrawn back to Spurs as they did not want us climbing up the table with their player.
I am with a maximum of 5 loan players out on loan and 5 max in. With the usual, you can only have 3 on the pitch at the same time. |  |
