Putin is power mad, I guess that's a form of delusion.

Ths is a ment in time similar to the 30's, unless Europe steps up now and makes it clear we are ready, willing AND able to stop Putin, he will continue down this road.

Does he want to take back what was once the USSR and return Europe to the "Iron curtain" days, in my opinion yes. He must be stopped. Hopefuly that means just being strong enough that he doesnt try it. If it turns into a war then we can all kiss our asses goodbye.

All the time that NATO does nothing aggressively, which in theory is right, Putin and Russia are getting stronger. Over time they could build a military force to crush NATO. Especially with support from China, N Korea etc. it won’t be tomorrow bit those in power in the west need to assess the future threat and what proactive measures might need to be taken.

I think this is a myth. The land they took was not defended to any great extent. The areas in the East they are taking at a glacial rate with Heath Robinson tank features and Chinese golf carts. The bear that has been poked is the NATO bear not a Russian one.

Russia ordinary folk will eventually realize their limitations especially when they see the Sennet waving Ukrainian flags.

Russia has shown itself up for what it really is, a joke.

Their military capabilities are blown out of proportion. The amount of money going through the military and pocketed must be insane.

China is a paper tiger who haven’t had any sort of meaningful military engagement since the 70s.

NATO are in full control and that won’t change.

Dead right.
This mass murderer is @ throw back to darker days and anyone supporting him stands damned as a lunatic .
Make no mistake,Russians love power and powerful men even if they are fanatical butchers like Stalin .
Poles are great people living in a fine country.
They know what brutality is like and how masses suffer through demagogues ,like Putin. 1939 is well remembered and pride in their survival has and is being passed down . They shame us in manny ways. They are genuinely proud people ,who will fight for their country .

Putin need an ice pick as did Trotsky

The Russian military is very strong at the moment. They have close to 1 million men at arms, well trained and equipped. It's not like the cold war days, they have learned how to fight a modern war, while NATO has not.

The days of big formations are over. Any large group of soldiers will be easily destroyed by drones. This is why the movements involve smaller groups of soldiers, rather than the big units of the past. War has effectively been slowed down, it's just as bloody though.

NATO does not know how to do this. French and Polish units operating in the Ukraine have already been identified and destroyed by the Russians. NATO, cannot ever commit ground troops to oppose Russia. They do not have the resources or the means of projecting it. Russia has complete control of the skies, Their missiles are second to none and they are on a total war production. NATO would get hammered if they went against Russia. This is not what many flag shaggers want to hear, but it's the reality

Someone’s deluded. 😂😂 how embarrassing you are. You think NATO would get hammered by Russia? Are you feeling ok?

In 2021, Russia spent around $66 billion on its military. NATO’s European members alone spent more than four times that. The United States spent more than eleven times that much ($801 billion).

NATO’s European fleets alone have almost four times the number of Russia’s surface warships.

To say that NATO don’t have the resources is absolutely mental.

Russia would be crushed very quickly by NATO. But I suppose you’re a Putin lover to try and be ‘controversial’ when really you should be called ‘clueless jack’

I couldn’t agree with this more.

There’s no ideology with Putin, he’s just an autocratic bully.

That’s why it’s really important Trump doesn’t get the presidency back (I can’t bring myself to say it’s important for Biden to win as he’s as much use as a handbrake on a canoe).

Trump in the white house could be a disaster for the west.

Nato has resources alright, but it doesn't have any to spare. Britain for example, can't even make up a single division for deployment. It's the same with the other European nations. Even the US can't keep up with artillery production compared to Russia

If the US got involved, Russia would destroy all their bases within the Region. Russia doesn't have a big surface fleet, but it has subs that could do tremendous damage to any surface fleet. Russia doesn't really have any other outside military commitments like the US does. Then there's China and Iran. They wouldn't actively join Russia in any aggressive moves, but they would come to their defence

Russia has hypersonic and other missiles that cannot be stopped by any air defences.

Any movement of troops or equipment send towards any frontline would be instantly destroyed by Russian missiles

It's taken Russia more than two years to look vaguely capable against a Rag Tag Ukraininan force using NATO cast off weaponry. The idea that a conventional non-nuclear war against the full force of NATO would last more than a couple of months at most is hilarious. Not even Putin is dumb enough to believe otherwise, but his tankies do.

All Russia has is a weight of numbers. Their kit is laughable in comparison.

Your username has mispelled comical jack. Loon.

The Russian army that originally invaded Ukraine was reasonably trained (included Chechnya and Afghan Vets) and its equipment was both good and bad. THOSE UNITS WERE MAULED and had to be reconstituted - to be fair it wasn't their fault as Putin had not told them to invade until the last second and they were not actually prepared for such in an attempt to hide from the west their intent.

If Putin had informed the army they were to actually invade and not prance about on the border, prior to crossing the line, then we would be seeing a russian army entrenched in Ukraine with Ukraine carrying out an insurgency operation. Putin messed up.

Going on to the rest of your usual risible content - If Russia has complete control of the skies why are so many of their planes being shot down, why are their planes based hundreds of miles from the front line??????? Pro tip, THEY AREN'T. Additionally Russian misssiles are actually second to everyone but Ukraine is struggling as it has a huge bfrontline and nowhere near enough air defence.

Finally, Putin himself has stated that Russia even get close to the west in a conventional engagement only in a nuke exchange...This is not what the Tankies want to hear, but it's the reality.

No, they didn't get mauled, they took casualties and made mistakes, just like every army in history has. They tied down tens of thousands of Ukrainian troops, so it wasn't a failure. They soon learned from this.

Their jets aren't being shot down, as the Ukraine has no real means to do so.

You are correct about their bases being well away from the frontline, as that is how war has changed. Any large formations of troops , equipment or ammo will be within the range of drones, artillery etc, so they have to be dispersed into smaller units etc. That is the problem that NATO would face. They could not bring their large formations forward, because they would be destroyed. Units of marines etc would be simply wiped out

Contrary to the main stream, Iranian missiles actually hit their targets, 5 hit one airbase alone. That airbase had the best air defences anywhere on the planet, supplied by the US. Iran used slow drones and missiles with dozens of bomblets to confuse the radar, then they sent over ballistic missiles, and they hit 2 air bases and an Intelligence HQ.They weren't even the best that Iran had. Think what Russia could do with their hypersonic ones.

Nato, and incidentally, Israel, now knows that Iran can hit them and any US base in the region anytime they want.If Iran can do this, Russia has far more and better equipment

The days of the US pushing other nations around has gone for ever. Russia isn't Iraq or Afghanistan and neither is Iran

I'm sorry, I wasn't clear enough, I didnt mean he wanted the USSR back per se just that he is empire building and his empire would include all those lands that used to be in the USSR.

I dont think he has ambitions to rebuild the empire of old, colonies in North America? No, I think he wants a buffer between Russia and the rest of Europe; another iron curtain that protects Russia like the old iron curta.in did
