Last nights official attendance, although in truth there were barely 10,000 there in my opinion. With currently about 12,500 season ticket holders that's under 1,000 paying customers which can't be helping our cash flow. Looking at the number of season ticket holders who didn't turn up last night, it's not rocket science to realise many won't be renewing. The club really need to react now not sleepwalk into next season or it will be too late.

It wasn't a good look last night , with large swathes of the ground empty and surprisingly or not quite a few rows around me in the n East corner .Once the core support goes awol then you know we have problems., not sure how to to address this other than repeat previous comments regarding quality on and off the pitch ,neither of which atm are present. Great first half last night then the gods of football decided to intervene giving the ref and linesman on the East stand brain freezes. 45 minute performances aren't good enough I'm afraid and won't stem the receding tide of support.

The new tv arrangements don't help....I'm sure they would have been a few who decided just to stay home and press the red button who if that was not available would have turned up.
Totally understand the apathy of some though.

Well,we ve been haemorrhaging fans whilst or owners have fingers up their ring pieces

Any cost cutting now will be a fraction of the cost of relegation.

We won’t go down ,I read … And people believe this .

He has to go if we have a chance

4 of us long term season ticket holders didn't go last night but I had excuse been ill with flu virus and shivers.

I agree re red button but the club need to change and adapt to be a part of the changing landscape. They have very highly paid experts in business apparently on the board/employed to come up with imaginative ideas.

Poor football and hot air will not convince supporters to attend.

It's increasingly apparent that the family stand is emptying by the week, and given the average attention span of most kids these days can you blame their parents for not forking out to watch games only for them to spend most of it on their phones because we're so boring to watch?

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

You can double all that up with economics, work, normal daily life etc.

The success story with a fanbase is Bradford City. Same issues when their crowds dropped under 4,000. They introduced a scheme for the following few seasons whereby fans had much lower costing for tickets £5 in etc. That built up over time to 15k - 20k crowds which remain today. They lured kids in with free scarves and gifts (not P&S) Travelled the county with roadshows, carnival type gatherings, music and look at them today.

There doesn’t seem to be anyone with the foresight atm to do this and Coleman is doing literally everything.

There is a week of the transfer window left.
They have either get rid today and have someone ready to go tomorrow to make any transfer decisions.
Or give him a few weeks with any signings that are made.
Signing players this window then sacking him in Feb is the worst option

Times like these we have to get behind the club and the team. Levein and Kaplan have gone. Coleman at least deserves the benefit of the doubt.

People that have stopped going because they don’t like the chairman/manager/playing style, it was on the red button, it was cold, etc…

Will be the same people complaining when we don’t sign anyone.

Hate to say it, but that was a really poor showing by our fans last night. I can’t remember it being that sparse for a league game.

Can he?

Not being facetious, I just don’t know the ins and outs of our PSR situation. It certainly won’t be helped by people not turning up when we’re going through a rough spell.

Many of those who didn't turn up have already paid and have every right to decide not to go. Of course he can put him on gardening leave, it costs no more to the club. Obviously if we employ another coach it will cost, but something has to be done. The falling gate problem has been ongoing and should have been dealt with before now, our commercial department is failing miserably, non supporters don't even know when there is a match on.

Of course. Everyone can decide not to go, but it will be a bit rich when those same people complain on deadline day. I take your point about season tickets.

Commercial department- yes. Certainly needs an overhaul. I’m not defending the club here, I’m saying the fans have to play our part too.

In the Petty days, we all reacted by basically bullying him out of the club. Nowadays it seems easier to just watch on the red button, maybe start going again if we put a run together.

I think marketing is an issue to a degree. We don't offer any serious incentive for purchasing season tickets other than generally sensible pricing, but something along the lines of what we did in the Sousa season, i.e. offering a free PL ST in the event of promotion might convince a few.

Likewise serious work needs to go into growing South Stand attendances again. It's expensive taking a family to games, especially in the current climate and even more so when you're as boring to watch as we mostly are. I'd be pricing all under 18 ST's at £50 wherever in the stadium they may sit, hospitality aside.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

If the fan are to get back behind the team then everybody from Voleman down to the subs bench needs to out a lot more effort in.

There's a cost of living crisis, football doesn't come first if yoy have a famiky and mortgage and it definitely doesn't come first after several years of the previous owners taking the piss out of the fans.

Coleman has some hard miles in front of him and he needs to be decisive.

For my moeny Williams needs to go, today. Then he needs to put someone in temporary charge AND get some new players in. When he says only players who definitely improve the team will come in, at the moment Tommy Hutch and Curt would improve us!

Plenty of valid reasons people don’t go, but the indisputable fact is our crowds would be bigger if we were winning.

For me, the team being on a bad run isn’t one of them.

I agree, I’d like him to get rid of Williams too, but I won’t stop going if he doesn’t.

It' kind of a double edged sword though, isn't it. When the team are playing well and winning then people want to go. On the other side of that, when the team are boring and not winning then people don't want to go.

You can see the logic in that surely?

Kids have school next day, people are up early for work. Then there's tv and of course the Champions league was on live last night. For those who are not committed fans there were reasons to NOT go. By the way, I don't consider myself a committed fan anymore and have only been going because my son wants to. Maybe in there is something you don't take into account, a lot of people have lost interst in pro football. For the WBA game my son chose to play rather than go to the Swansea.com and I chose to go watch him.

Sometimes it feels as if people think we have a divine right to good crowds, we're Swansea not Liverpool or Man City. A lot of people who had been going these last 10-12 years only started because we made the EPl and have drifted away since relegation.

One last thought, maybe if we weren't winning so much but the football was actually fun to watch and we had a proper go, maybe then the crowds wouldn't have dropped so much?

Hold up, another thought, when the chairman promises signings because they have been worked on and are ready to go but then, nothing, maybe people have had enough of being taken for mugs?

I get all of that. Not everybody is that invested in it.

We don’t have a divine right to good crowds, but if anyone does consider themself a committed fan, genuine fan, whatever you want to call it, now is the time to get down there.

Not sure that’s totally true

I was a ST holder for close to 40 years & gave it mainly due to Martin & being bored senseless.

I’ll continue to pick & choose my games & would do so even if we got promoted.

Once you give it up you realise there’s more to life than giving up your weekends travelling up & down the country.

If someone had said 4 years ago id be saying that I’d of thought they were loopy.
