Last nights official attendance, although in truth there were barely 10,000 there in my opinion. With currently about 12,500 season ticket holders that's under 1,000 paying customers which can't be helping our cash flow. Looking at the number of season ticket holders who didn't turn up last night, it's not rocket science to realise many won't be renewing. It wasn't a good look last night , with large swathes of the ground empty and surprisingly or not quite a few rows around me in the n East corner .Once the core support goes awol then you know we have problems., not sure how to to address this other than repeat previous comments regarding quality on and off the pitch ,neither of which atm are present. Great first half last night then the gods of football decided to intervene giving the ref and linesman on the East stand brain freezes. 45 minute performances aren't good enough I'm afraid and won't stem the receding tide of support. |  |

4 of us long term season ticket holders didn't go last night but I had excuse been ill with flu virus and shivers.
I agree re red button but the club need to change and adapt to be a part of the changing landscape. They have very highly paid experts in business apparently on the board/employed to come up with imaginative ideas.
Poor football and hot air will not convince supporters to attend. |  |

You can double all that up with economics, work, normal daily life etc.
The success story with a fanbase is Bradford City. Same issues when their crowds dropped under 4,000. They introduced a scheme for the following few seasons whereby fans had much lower costing for tickets £5 in etc. That built up over time to 15k - 20k crowds which remain today. They lured kids in with free scarves and gifts (not P&S) Travelled the county with roadshows, carnival type gatherings, music and look at them today.
There doesn’t seem to be anyone with the foresight atm to do this and Coleman is doing literally everything. |  |

Of course. Everyone can decide not to go, but it will be a bit rich when those same people complain on deadline day. I take your point about season tickets.
Commercial department- yes. Certainly needs an overhaul. I’m not defending the club here, I’m saying the fans have to play our part too.

I think marketing is an issue to a degree. We don't offer any serious incentive for purchasing season tickets other than generally sensible pricing, but something along the lines of what we did in the Sousa season, i.e. offering a free PL ST in the event of promotion might convince a few.
Likewise serious work needs to go into growing South Stand attendances again. It's expensive taking a family to games, especially in the current climate and even more so when you're as boring to watch as we mostly are. I'd be pricing all under 18 ST's at £50 wherever in the stadium they may sit, hospitality aside. | |

If the fan are to get back behind the team then everybody from Voleman down to the subs bench needs to out a lot more effort in.
There's a cost of living crisis, football doesn't come first if yoy have a famiky and mortgage and it definitely doesn't come first after several years of the previous owners taking the piss out of the fans.
Coleman has some hard miles in front of him and he needs to be decisive.
For my moeny Williams needs to go, today. Then he needs to put someone in temporary charge AND get some new players in. When he says only players who definitely improve the team will come in, at the moment Tommy Hutch and Curt would improve us! | | | |

It' kind of a double edged sword though, isn't it. When the team are playing well and winning then people want to go. On the other side of that, when the team are boring and not winning then people don't want to go.

By the way, I don't consider myself a committed fan anymore and have only been going because my son wants to. For the WBA game my son chose to play rather than go to the Swansea.com and I chose to go watch him.

Not sure that’s totally true
I was a ST holder for close to 40 years & gave it mainly due to Martin & being bored senseless.
I’ll continue to pick & choose my games & would do so even if we got promoted.
Once you give it up you realise there’s more to life than giving up your weekends travelling up & down the country.
