I am not sure what to make of him.

On the one hand, he's pacy, prepared to get stuck into a row with the opposition defence (especially as a second half sub), has already got a couple of goals, is young enough to have a good career here and still get a big move etc. And above all that, he's one of our Dev Squad successes, in as much as he's hit the First Team and is making a contribution most weeks. Big thumbs up from me.

On the other hand, however, his control and first touch just aren't consistent enough (which I put down to experience), he gives away some iffy fouls and, Hull City aside, he seems on a different frequency to the rest of the team at times. To be fair, so was Yang yesterday, so it's definitely not just him.

Now, I actually like Alfie, I want him to succeed, but I'm pretty conflicted about where he is currently. Is it that he is being used incorrectly, his age / experience or is he not what I'm hoping for? I don't think he's the messiah buy I'm not convinced he's just a naughty boy either.

Where are you with Alfie?

Clutching at straws.......National League is totally/massive different level than Championship.

Likewise Kelman has had his chance.....time to move on.

Appreciate this is an Alfie thread, but I haven't seen anything like enough of him to make a judgement. I haven't seen Kelman at all, but I would have thought he was worth another look, based on his current form, and our dire attacking situation. I think Smyth has won over a lot of fans this season, and I feel Kelman is a least worth a look before we cut him loose.

What another look, how many times do we want another look.

I spoke to an Orient fan last Monday evening......he said that he would not be good enough for the Championship - him, not me said that!!!

Feel like we need someone who can replace 1 of the front 2 when they tire late on in games. Do Lloyd would be a good cheap option from the bench. And he’s our player. Would consider a recall.

I'm sorry to say, he's simply not good enough for the Championship. Kolli is the player you want.

I don’t know much about this Poku lad but liked the look of him the other night- could he be that guy? Looked pacey and good size i think JS has that french thing of developing forwards who can play anywhere.

Alfie would surely be better off getting lots of game time ?

I like the idea of our strikers being Kone, Burrell, Kolli, and Lloyd.

Lloyd has a place here I think. It's a cliché but he's a nause against tired defences.

Aside of that absolute worldy he scored up at Hillsborough last season, he's not really done anything. I'd leave him where he is to see if he can actually get into the Orient side and get among the goals.

As said above, getting Kolli back into the fold would be more preferable. That said, Lloydy would offer more than Frey.

Aaron Connolly is out for 4 months at Orient. Even though they are not exactly like for like it hopefully means more gametime for Alfie.

Is that where Aaron Connolly is? Nothing ages like the future.
