Jan Vipotnik is a really good prospect at 22 and there is interest in him quite rightly. Six goal so far and a presence. I hope the club continues to develop him.
If the midfielders give him space in the box he hit the ball like a rocket. An old fashioned player in the mould of Shearer. He will never be as good as Alan of course but definitely one to be optimistic about.

It's been quite heartening to see people begin to realise that Vipotnik was on a hiding to nothing with Williams in charge.
We've been here with several strikers in the past of course, and given that history you'd think more people would hesitate for a bit before laying into the player, but it's a start.

I think it’s obvious Zan wasn’t the problem,the previous coach was. Zan had a thankless job with no service. , now , under Sheehan , he’s probably had more balls in one game than the all the previous ones put together.
He has a great work rate , closes defenders down,competes well in the air ,puts centre halves under pressure and holds the ball up well and above all has shown he is prepared to shoot on sight , without taking that extra touch that gives defenders a chance of blocking.
I think over the games he’s played under Sheehan he’s been unlucky not to score more goals, because he’s created chances that on another day go in , but at least he’s creating them and having a go.Lets hope he continues the way he’s going,it can only be good for us | | | |

Sheehan is one of the most popular managers within the club in many many years. He has a really subtle sense of humour and his ability to know his players is one of his finest qualities we are told. He just needs to do far more than expected to get the job. |  |
