Yes I saw this.

Poor chap.

Was a trailblazer as a referee though being a black man in charge of football matches at the highest levels, so absolute respect to him for that alone and no one deserves such troubling disabilites at the age he still is.

Similar holiday horror story to that happened to BF of a work colleague.
Diving off some rocks at the beach and stepped on a sea urchin. Pulled the spines out, thought nothing of it. Week later permanently disabled and wheelchair for life. Sporty lad, 19 years old.
Sued the NHS for a lot of money I believe cos when he got back he went to Newcastle hospital on several occasions saying something wasn't right and they sent him home with painkillers thinking he was just a pissd up student.

That's rough. Remember that guy a few years ago who was paralysed from the next down and was going to the courts so that he could be legally killed? The whole 'right to die' thing? That poor bastard was on a work trip somewhere hot. Got sunstroke. Next thing you know he's Christopher Reeve-ing it for a decade hoping some judge will let him kark it with a bit of dignity.

Judge was like 'LOL, no!' and so my man had refuse food and go out Band Aid style. Do they know it's Christmas style, man. It's not right.

The way I see it, if a man can't wipe his own ass, he should be able to say to a doctor 'inject me right in the face with Blokekiller 3000.'

Poor old, Uriah though. Yeah, shit ref but I liked him because he was into his martial arts. Now the man can't walk. This world is brutal. Cameron's Britain, fam.

Stefan Moore, Stefan Moore running down the wing. Stefan Moore, Stefan Moore running down the wing. He runs like a cheetah, his crosses couldn't be sweeter. Stefan Moore. Stefan Moore. Stefan Moore.

My spine issue minor compared to this but I have to laud Rennie for his mental strength through this.
Constant pain and a fear of a paralysed life can take you to some pretty dark places.

Hope he makes a full recovery and...... (can't resist it)... get's "settled"

Cherish and enjoy life.... this ain't no dress rehearsal
