We are definitely less likely to lose with him at CB and in this team. He is an old head on young shoulders. Speaks really well and feels like he is a leader and future captain here.
If he really did cost as little as 300k in the summer, that is a rare bit of excellent business from us. At his age not turning 22 until, well, Monday, he has huge potential to have a good career given the level he plays at now.
He's a decent prospect, if hardly brimming with insight.
And exactly what is this "insight" you keep banging on about ceaselessly every time anyone gives an interview about anything?
Its pretty simple really: we need a tight cohesive, agile defensive unit, which we certainly seem to have more of when Morrison and Edwards play, a more assertive, agile and positive midfield, which we sometimes show, and most importantly a centre forward who can hold up play, link with the No.10 and wide players and bust a gut to get in the box to get on the end of crosses which we need to be encouraging our wide players to deliver more of.
There you go - there's your precious insight delivered in a paragraph.
What else exactly were you expecting?

Let me guess the troll wants high levels or detail and insight from a player, just a short time after the game. When most of it is still a blur and the players need to sit and take stock. Surprised we didn't get the usual 'not really difficult questions being asked blah blah blah' and then everyone once again having to point out that it's a club media channel.

Haha!
The day is still young (not that we're saying that the "gentleman" in question is predictable or anything...)

I think you're missing the rather obvious point that I was talking about Morrison, not about you!
Looks a good prospect. Other clubs passed on him because of his availability, which has been poor for us. Needs to be doing 30+ starts next season. We’ve already got one excellent centre back who’s never available to play, we don’t need another.

More to the point what made you think you had the right to expect this mysterious "insight" in the first place?

This. I'm not interested in insight. I'd like them both to get fit, stay fit, and play well.

Edwards, Ronnie - unavailable as of end of season.
Clarke-Salter, Jake - unavailable, most of the season.

Earlier I was going to say he needs to play alongside a ojayer with a bit more pace like Edwards. However he did well with Cook but I think that is because he was coached well during the game with Cook. I do see Morrison as the long term replacement for Cook though and with better distribution

Me too - I would love to see Cook stay on and help develop Morrison but we won’t retain him next year.
I could also see Morrison and Dunne working but I don’t think Jimmy will stay - his choice, probably taken because we don’t want to give him a longer contract option.
JCS is the obvious answer and I think those two plus a more relaxed and regular Varane is a pretty good defensive base for the future.
Two CBs that can play out and pass behind a holding midfielder, that would make us a much stronger team, whoever is in charge.
You can see the potential for it to work when Edwards plays.
We just need less sick notes and a run of 20-30 games together for them.
Those possessed by devils, try and keep them under control a bit, can't you ?
